A deep rumble shook the earth, waking Franziska from her sleep. Though earthquakes were common where they live, this one felt much more intense than the ones she was used to. "Miles!!" She called, knowing her brother's deathly fear. She tried to stand up and look, but immediately fell to the ground. Files and papers scattered around her, and she tried her best to escape. Knowing him, he had already found a safe spot to hide, but Franziska couldn't say the same for herself, as she suddenly felt an impact, and just like that, she was out.

After who knows how long, she awoke in a grassy field… Was she dead? Maybe dreaming?? …No, this felt real. Sitting up, and looking around, Franziska saw multiple other…people? Maybe the earthquake was a dream? But that felt real too. Especially the part where something smacked her into unconsciousness. That hurt. 'Who are these people? Where am I?? How did we all get here???'

Miriam looked over quickly her long hazelnut hair whipping around as she did so. "Oh! Hello my name is Miriam!" She told the girl sitting in the grassy field, her pointy ears perked as they did when she was happy or excited. A warm smile crossed her face.

Opening her eyes as she finished her pounce, Phantasm found she had not landed it. In fact, her prey was nowhere to be found and she was in a completely new place. She looked around stationarily, waiting to be talked to before talking herself. She noticed other beings, but she didn't bother to interact with them.

She let out a small sigh and mumbled a few annoyed words under her breath.

The woman stared up at the half-elf, her face contorting into a look of confusion and shock, before leaping to her feet and flexing her whip, which she apparently had, along with her work clothes. Silently glaring at her in a defensive stance, it was clear that she wanted answers.

Hildegard knew that the Minister of Magic was corrupt. In public, Anton Vogel would seem to be politically impartial, fair, honest, and tolerant, but behind closed doors, he was nothing like that. He was a greedy, dishonest, power-hungry man who was a supporter of Gellert Grindelwald. In all honesty, the only reason she knew this was because while she was neutrally grey in the whole affair, her father wasn't. Jürgen Kaiser was one of Grindelwald's Acolytes and would occasionally spill things he shouldn't when he got drunk.

So, when she left for her house in Berlin after quite a terrible day at the Ministry of Magic and went to her study to finish some important paperwork, she was not expecting to be interrupted by, what the muggles call, an earthquake. Okay, so yes, the magical community got earthquakes, but rather often than not, it was a magical creature creating the shaking. She had worked with an Erumpent before, and they had thrown the greatest tantrum she had ever seen, causing a disturbance eerily similar to an Earthquake. And while she wanted to dismiss it as an Erumpent being rejected something from their caretakers, she knew that there were no Eurumpents near Germany or in the neighboring countries. She also had a feeling that the shaking was not caused by a magical creature, nor by natural means. It felt much more intense than a normal earthquake, and a warning bell was ringing in her head.

She got up from her seat and made her way out of the study when she felt something hit her head. Who knows how long Hildegard might've been unconscious. But when she awoke, she found herself lying in a grassy field. She sat up slowly and noticed there were other people in the field.

"Heilige Scheiße."

"Wait I'm sorry," Miriam said turning to the woman who just spoke, "what did you say? I do not speak whatever you just spoke." Miriam looked back at the other people. "Ummm so where are you from?" She asked trying to clear the tension, "I'm from Etheria."

“She said, 'holy shit,' and I think she should watch her mouth.” The frilly woman replied, crossing her arms, seeing as nobody was attacking, and were just as confused as she was. “I'm not exactly 'from' anywhere. I travel around too much. But I can say for sure that I grew up in Germany.”

Enzo was being boring and writing a story when the earthquake happened. The next thing Enzo knew is that he is with people that he doesn't know.

"Unless there are children around, then no, I will not watch my mouth. I think I've earned the right to curse." Hildegard said with a sneer. She turned her attention to Miriam and looked at her. If she was correct, it looked like she was a part elf, but she wasn't sure what type of elf the girl might be. "It's a really nice place to live in. And well, Bavaria attracts a lot of people. I suppose it has to do with the scenery. And the castles. We also have the best pastries in the world and the Strawberry Rhubarb Trifle is to die for." She paused and smiled bitterly. "But of as recently, things haven't been so good. We've just got out of a World War and well, we were the losing side. So, you can imagine how the other countries are treating us."

"My father said that those who curse are making up for their lack of brains with foul words. And with a fool as foolish as you, I can see that he was correct." She gave her a smug smile right back. "Oh, but where are my manners? I am Franziska von Karma, the prodigy." The woman said with a curtsy.

"Oh?" Hildegard asked amused, as she raised an eyebrow. "That's certainly a unique philosophy, Miss von Karma." She paused and smiled briefly. "I'm delighted to meet you. I am Hildegard Kaiser." She gave a small curtsy, knowing that this muggle was apparently of high standing, and Hildegard would rather not start making any new enemies here….wherever here was.

“Indeed it is. Us von Karma's are known for our 'uniqueness.' A pleasure to meet you as well, Ms. Hildegard Kaiser.” Seems like she had gotten on her good side with simple formality. “Do you have any idea as to where we are?” Franziska asked, looking around for a moment, barely looking concerned. In fact, she just looked annoyed.

"STOP FIGHTING!" Miriam screamed. "Look none of us know what we are doing here, where we are or who the other people are so let's introduce ourselves shall we?" Miriam proposed, flattening her light pink elvish dress "My name is Miriam. I am a half elf half human or a half-ling from the kingdom of Etheria. Humans and Elves have just finished a war the humans won and half elves and elves have to face racism everyday! Your turn!" She said looking at the German girl.

As soon as Miriam yelled, Franziska gave a warning shot with her whip, barely a foot away from the elves, well, feet. "Do not scream at me. We weren't even fighting, we were simply having some playful banter. In fact, I think I like this woman." Crossing her arms, she gave them both a glance before shrugging, "Well, if you wish for me to talk about myself, I will gladly do so. I became a prosecutor at thirteen, straight A's in all of my classes, I am well-known in my field of work, and my rivals fear the name 'von Karma.' So, in summery, I am perfection incarnate."

"Woah, easy there. No need to take out…your whip? Do you have that whip with you all the time?" Hildegard asked. She shook her head and opened her mouth to speak, but closed it soon after. She stayed silent for a few seconds before shrugging. "Ah, normally I wouldn't just say what I'm about to say next, but I doubt any of you would be a danger to our world. I'm a witch who works at the German Ministry of Magic. Yes, magic is real, and I can prove it if you all want. I graduated from Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning, which is one of the eleven prestigious magical schools in the world, with Outstandings in my OWL's and NEWT's. I come from a Noble and Most Ancient House, which in the non-magical world is like coming from a line with duchess and dukes, and counts and the like. Nobility, if you would."

"You have magic too. I can do a bit of magic but not as much as a normal elf could I'm only a half-ling so I can only do simple spells like this," Miriam remarked before opening her hand from a fist and out came a glowing blue mushroom. After the mushroom stoped growing Miriam picked it from her hand and gave it to Hildegard. "See magic mushroom!"

"Every second of the day. This whip never leaves my sight." Franziska replied, menacingly stomping and whipping the ground in front of her. "Now. Could you two fools explain your confusing words? Not all of us speak fool." She really liked that word, huh. "Owls and newts, what is this, a zoo?"

Hildegard picked the mushroom from the palm of her hand and looked at it with awe. "That's really cool. I know that elves are powerful, but I never thought they would be able to create a mushroom out of thin air. *We can't even do that." Hildegard then turned to Franziska, when she stomped menacingly. In all honestly, it amused her that Franziska was acting like some sort of toddler trying to look big and bad. "O.W.L.s is a standardized-specific subject test taken during our fifth year. The score made by a student on a particular O.W.L. can determine if one is eligible to take the more advanced classes and the exam scores can also be determined what type of job we could get after we graduate. And N.E.W.T.s are similar to O.W.L.s but more vigorous than the O.W.L.s exams. Various jobs in the magical world want students who have a certain amount of N.E.W.Ts."

"Hm. Well, while you bumbling buffoons babble about useless tricks, I'll be doing something much more important. Such as getting home. I need to check on my brother, and get my work done. I have a trial to prosecute in a few days, and that idiotic detective hasn't even gotten the autopsy report." She angrily muttered, putting away her whip and adjusting her gloves.
