Shawn looked at him and sighed. Another one of those creeps. He thought. Lily, his rider, held his hand. "What's going to happen, Shawn?" Shawn gulped. "I don't know. But that machine is sucking all the life from this planet…" He sighed.

(Yes, Eos is the eldest of the trio. It goes like this, from oldest to youngest: Eos, Elara, Kaori)
Elara couldn't help herself. "But are you going to die in who even knows how long I have left to some degenerative disease? Do you have a heart problem that also developed from said disease? I don't mean to force pity on me or anything, but this is hard on me every single day, so you have no right to treat us this way. Us three? We are the ones who keep each other living every single day. So don't you dare lay another hand on them again," she raged, glaring daggers at the stranger. If only looks could kill…

“All I’m hearin’ is lame human words goin’ “blah-blah-blah-blah.” “
She rolled her raspberry colored eyes, using her free hand to mimic a mouth flapping nonstop.
“The way I see it, is you have no right to treat me this way, seein’ as I could crush your precious “friend” whenever I so please…”
She grinned, tauntingly poking Eos’ nose.
Elara’s glare didn’t seem to work on her, and in fact, only make her more smug.

Eos stood up. This was the last straw. "Don't you dare threaten my friends, you hear me?" Their voice was dangerously low, and they were just barely holding back all the things they wanted to do to the person standing in front of them. They hadn't actually acted on any of them yet because the last logical braincell in them told them that it would be a lost cause. They couldn't actually do anything to this lady. After all, they were just a mere 17 years old.
(Hey, sorry but I won't be online for a while, I hope it's okay if I can join in later!)

“Ooo, you’re quite a feisty one~” She commented, not seeming at all bothered, and in fact, quite entertained.
“Oh? And what are you gonna’ do about it? Scream at me till I shatter?” She giggled, “No, you can’t do anything against me, little human…”
The pink stranger was having none of it, stretching her legs to loom over the girl, grinning evilly, as another iris was added to her eyes.

(quick q, do you have a faceclaim or anything descriptive of her appearance?)

(Go back, I described her)

"Eos?" Kaori whispered in a barely audible voice. Eos had trouble hearing her friend, and they thought they had good ears. From the distance that the woman was from Kaori, it was near impossible to have heard her. They would have to have superhuman hearing. "We should get out of here, I don't have a good feeling about her," she said uneasily.
Eos glanced at Kaori, a softer look crossing their face. "It's gonna be okay, Kao- I'll take care of her." They turned back to the lady in front of them and pushed them away from their body. "Look, I don't know who the hell you think you are, but I'm sure as hell not gonna let you hurt my friends."
Elara, who had been watching silently decided that this was a good time for her to step in. "Yeah!" she joined in confidently. "If they go down, well, I guess you'll just have to go through me!"
Meanwhile, Kaori had an unreadable expression on her face. Somewhere between scared, untrusting, and unease. Maybe even more, who knows?
group
She looked surprised by this retaliation, stumbling back slightly. But before long, she started cackling wickedly as if this was the most humorous the ever, having to hold herself so she didn’t fall forward. “Oh-ho-ho, wo-o-ow, that’s RICH!” She said in between her laughter. After laughing for an uncomfortably long time, she wiped a tear from her eye, still chuckling, before giving her huge smile again.
“If you really wanna’ know who I am… I’m Spinel, and I’m the Gem who’s gonna’ crush this STUPID, nowhere planet with a buncha’ STUPID nobodies!!!” She yelled, swiping an enlarged arm at them to knock them over.

not expecting the sudden move, both eos and elara stumbled, starting to fall. after what kaori would later describe as "viewing the world through a fog that she couldn't dissipate," she managed to come back to the real world and scrambled to her feet, barely catching her friends. however, she was a good bit smaller than the two, and stumbled under the weight, barely managing to keep them up. it was a good thing that eos was able to stand up straight not long after kaori caught them, and helped elara to her feet as well.
"spinel? gem?" elara asked, confused at the name. "what's a gem?"
"…i think i've heard that name before," kaori said thoughtfully, tapping her chin as she tried to recall where it was from. "i think it might be from a game, but i'm not sure. either way, is she… a fictional character come to the real world?"
group
Spinel chuckled at their struggle, watching without a care.
“Oh, but I’m very much real, alright, you ain’t dreamin’… But oh, you’re gonna’ wish you were…”
She sneered at them, bringing her hand to the jewel on her chest, and pulling out some sort of stick after a small flash of light.
“You humans are all the same, thinkin’ your friends can save you. Thinkin’ friends even exist.” She ranted, tossing the stick in the air a couple times.
“Well, they aren’t, and they don’t.”
school
What is that? Kaori wondered. "But Spinel, they may not be able to save me," she started. In a barely audible voice, she added, "I've already known this, for quite a long time."
Her voice strong again, she looked up boldly at Spinel. "They do exist. We've been here for each other for as long as I can remember, and I will fight this disease for as long as I can so I can stay with my friends."
~
Elara, who was able to pick out the more subtle things that her younger friend wasn't, could tell that this attitude, this way of thinking didn't just come out of nowhere. "…Spinel? The way you think makes me think that maybe something happened to you when you were younger. Perhaps… you made some friends, but they weren't real friends and probably thought of you as disposable, or the like."
group
“I don’t know how to get it past your thick skull that I. Don’t. CARE! I’m literally tryin’ to destroy your planet!! NONE of you will survive!!!” She explained aggressively.
“Oh, trust me, friends don’t exist. It’s a false promise. A scam.
Spinel immediately stopped, looking like a deer in the headlights. Suddenly, she became even more enraged, clenching her fists before flipping a switch on the stick, quickly extending it into a futuristic-looking scythe, and swung it wildly at Elara, hitting her multiple times.
But nothing happened.
Well, aside from Elara having a glowing pattern that looked quite like circuit boards, but those quickly disappeared. “JUST CAN IT!!!” She snarled, stretching her legs again, looking ready to attack again.
school
(wait so does elara actually get physically hurt by the scythe or no?)

(No, she’s fine, it would just feel weird)

(okay then, ill try to get a reply up soon)

Elara flinched, expecting an impact, but a look of confusion crossed her face when she realised that she had technically been hit, but at the same time not. At Spinel's words, Elara blinked at her. "…I'm not scared of death anymore. So what if I die when you destroy this planet? It's not death I'm scared of, it's dying that I'm scared of."
Kaori, however was still young and was scared of death and dying. But as Elara spoke, she looked up at her older friend, a new hope rising in her chest. Her friend would protect her. It would be alright.
"Look, Spinel, I don't know what happened to you in the past, but friends do exist!! I know enough about them to know that these are my friends, and they will do their best to protect me!" Kaori spoke up, frustrated that for some reason Spinel seemed fixated on the idea that friends didn't exist.
group
“Oh, of course it doesn’t work on humans!”
“Well, you should be…” She snapped back, looking ready to resort to punching her.
Spinel turned her psychotic glare to Kaori, now seeming angrier than before, her quite expressive hair fluffing up with rage, beginning to tremble aggressively, and she seemed to be locked on to her.
“You’re not the person that was made to be a friend… In my opinion, you don’t know enough!” She said, chuckling eerily.
“You think they’re gonna’ help you..? Well, I can promise you, they’re not.
Oh, so you wanna know how I feel..? I’m gonna’ kill your “friends” so you can see how I feel…” Spinel said, obviously starting to lose it even more.
“How would you like it if I left you somewhere? How would you like it if you stayed there? If you stayed there while everyone moved on and forgot about you? How would you feel if these two betrayed you? Tricked you? If they had their lives without you? As you watched the world around you shrivel and decay? They lived a happy live, happy that you’re gone? That you’re STILL WAITING?!! Waiting for them, and waiting and waiting and waiting… Even though they PROMISED THEY’D COME BACK?!” She roared, grabbing her by the collar of her shirt, bringing her face-to-face. “YOUR BEST FRIENDS LEAVING YOU ALLLLL ALONE WITH NO ONE ELSE WHO CARES ABOUT YOU, LOVES YOU, YOU’RE JUST STANDING IN PLACE LIKE A GOOD LITTLE GEM, DOING WHAT SHE TOLD YOU TO DO. DO YOU THINK YOU COULD BELIEVE IN FRIENDSHIP AFTER THAT?! HUH?!!!!”

Eos dashed in, doing their best to shove Spinel aside and free their small friend. "Don't touch her!"
Kaori gently put her hands on Eos' shoulders, saying, "I'll be fine, let me handle this," to which Eos gave her a doubtful look but moved away so Kaori could do whatever it was she wanted to do.
A genuine look of understanding crossed Kaori's face as she listened to Spinel rant. "…I'm sorry about that, I truly am. But if they truly did such a thing, than they weren't your friends. As for the forgetting part… everyone gets forgotten eventually, and maybe you were gone for so long that your family didn't know if you were ever coming back, if you could come back," she said slowly as she tried to put her thoughts into words. "But no matter how betrayed, how heartbroken you might feel, violence and/or revenge is never the answer. They weren't real friends, not like Elara and Eos. I've been around them for several years and I've gotten to know them quite well."
After a long pause, Kaori finally got around to Spinel's last question. "…yes, I could, and would. Because even in the depths of the darkest oceans, some light always shines through. Even if you're still waiting, waiting for the ones who will never come back to come back, there's always a little hope. There's no point in living in the past, if they don't come, they don't come. It's time to move on, and eventually, I'd have to forgive them. Not because they said sorry, not because they came back and provided an excuse, but because my small heart can't hate anyone for too long. Friendship exists, I'm just sorry that you had to go through that, but hey, you're still alive at least!"
