@KalamariCakes

Yeah, i suppose i am )

@blue_topaz

Fae ran forward to scoop them, feet splashing in the shallow water. “Wow…”, she breathed, holding one up to the light.

@KalamariCakes

He picked up the other two chunks, "You like it?"

@blue_topaz

“It’s beautiful! Thanks, Cruz.” She smiled at him, going up on tip-toes to press a kiss to his cheek.

@KalamariCakes

He smiled a little more, "If you can catch a crawldad, I'll bring you out for a date tonight."

@blue_topaz

Her eyes widened slightly. “Deal.”, she grinned.

@KalamariCakes

"Alright," he crossed his arms, smirking. "Go ahead,"

@blue_topaz

Fae wasted no time, running out of the creek quickly to fetch a stick, and quickly unraveling some fraying string from her shirt sleeve. She attached to two securely, scooping up a worm from the ground and attaching it with the extra safety pin she kept in her pocket in case the one on her skirt slipped. That finished, she sat in a rock, waiting.

@KalamariCakes

He burst into laughter when she sat down. "Fae! Fae, Aye mi Dio..!" He choked with laughter, covering a palm on his face.

@blue_topaz

Fae blushed, laughing as well. “What? You said we’d go out if I caught it, so I’m going to catch it!”

@KalamariCakes

"No! That's not how you catch craw- crawdads!!" He bellowed laughter.

@Natasha

Sabine shrugged. "You pick. I can't think straight right now."

Macha thought for a moment. “This way!”, she called bounding off.

(It’s been a while sorry I didn’t see your last post.)

(lol I understand.)

@Natasha

Sabine followed Macha, wondering where they were going.

@blue_topaz

Macha stopped in front of a booth with sculptures made of slowly dripping ice.

@blue_topaz

"No! That's not how you catch craw- crawdads!!" He bellowed laughter.

Oh. “Aren’t they like shrimp?”, Fae asked, a tiny bit hurt.

@KalamariCakes

"Yes! But you can't catch them with a worm, Cherry!"

@blue_topaz

Fae went the tiniest bit pink. «Oh.” Then she laughed. “Sorry, I don’t really fish often.”

@KalamariCakes

"You pounce on them. No line and hook and sinker required," he chuckled.

@blue_topaz

“Oops.” Fae dismissed the embarrassment rising in her, casting the makeshift fishing rod aside. “Is our deal still on?”

@KalamariCakes

"'Course." He humored forgivingly.

@blue_topaz

Fae grinned. “So, do I just scoop the crawfads out with my hands?”

@KalamariCakes

"Sure. It's not that easy though," he warned.

@blue_topaz

(I gtg)

Fae scanned the water for crawdads, heeding cruz’s warning.

@KalamariCakes

There was one halfway peeking from under a stone.

@blue_topaz

Fae saw it, lowering her hand slowly and waiting until it got close. She swiped her hand through the water, snagging it. Unfortunately, it slipped out of her grasp just as she brought it out of the creek. “Dammit.”

@KalamariCakes

"Hah! You tried, corazón." He chuckled.

@blue_topaz

She huffed playfully, trying again. The first six times failed, but she finally managed to catch one on the seventh.

@KalamariCakes

"Oh, hm…" he nodded approvingly.

@blue_topaz

She looked down at it, grinning victoriously. “What do I do with it now?”

@KalamariCakes

"Set it free," he replied.
