Fae melted into the kiss, ams wrapped tightly around his shoulders and buried in his hair. The kiss wasn’t hard, but it was deep, meaningful. She opened her eyes to look at him, her raison d’etre.
His eyelids were still shut, masking those chocolate halos.
Augustus opened the front door, unknowingly interrupting their kiss.
Fae pulled away, deeply flustered. “Hi Mr. Ponticelli.”
August laughed, "I hope I didn't interrupt anything," he snorted teasingly, setting a gift bag on the floor of the foyer.
"Nah," Cruz dismissed, "You're fine. And just jealous," his friend snickered.
Fae flushed pink at this, still slightly giddy from the kiss.

Fae smiled thankfully. “So, should we go outside?”
"It smells like burnt meat?" August commented.

Fae let out a brief laugh as they all went outside, carrying her gift for Cruz.

August leapt forward to flip the hammock and start playfully tackling Cruz.

The two friends rolled in the grass, laughing and growling. Cruz tried shovig August away as he managed to pin his spanish friend and pull his shoes off. "No! Stop! My manlihood!"
