Romance Murder Mystery RP
(Lol yeah wrong rp)
"i'm Violet," Violet answered, grabbing her coffee and taking sip. "Shey? That's cute."
Celeste wrapped her hands around her hot chocolate and took a sip. "So. Five girls that bump into each other on the street have a coffee. Sounds like the start to a bad joke."
His curiosity got the better of him. Jackson got up and left the house, putting on a jacket on his way out. He tucked his book in it as hewalked down the street to the coffee shop, not wanting it to get wet. Five girls sat at a table in the cafe. Is this creepy? he thought, Oh well, I'm here now. He buys a pastry and takes a seat at a table, opening his book. He thought he was in for a show.
Shey blushed at Violet's comment. "Thanks," she mumbled.
Kenzie giggled. "Yeah, it does. What're the odds, huh?"
After a quick glance around the room, Kenzie noticed a familiar man sitting at a table close by. He had been near the girls when they had run into each other, and now he was in the same cafe as they were. Odd…
Violet sat and talked with the girls and for some reason, Shey stuck out the most to her compared to the rest. She took a final sip of her coffee and set the cup down.
Shey brought out her phone and began to look at her Pinterest. She didn't want to start a conversation.
Violet sighed, 'why is she ignoring us all,' She thought. Sighing she took out her own phone.
Seeing that none of the other girls were going to actually talk, Kenzie, with a sudden burst of confidence that probably came from too much caffeine, walked over to the man she had noticed.
"Excuse me," she said politely. Gesturing to the seat across from him, she asked, "Do you mind if I sit here?"
Jackson looks up from his book when someone talks to him.
I’m front of him is one of the girls from the table. “Yeah, no problem.” he replied.
"Great, thanks," Kenzie said awkwardly. Her confidence was spent, and now she had no idea what to do.
Jackson looked at her expectantly. He figured she would’ve left the other table for a reason…
When the guy just stared at her, Kenzie felt her face grow warm with a blush. To get around the awkwardness, she introduced herself.
"My name's Kenzie," she said, sticking her hand out.
Jackson smirked at her blush. “Jackson,” he replied, shaking her hand from across the table.
"Nice to meet you, Jackson," Kenzie said. "The girls I was sitting with weren't actually talking to each other, just staring at their phones, and I thought we were going to have an actual conversation. But, I had just met a few of them, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at their personalities…" she trailed off as she realized that she was rambling nervously.
“Well, there’s two types of people. The ramblers and the phone addictions,” he joked, looking over at the table of girls. She was right, they were all on their phones.
Shey looked up from her phone ready to talk to Violet. "Hey, uh. Sorry for ignoring you. What'd you want to talk about?"
Kenzie laughed nervously. "Yeah, I guess so."
The awkward silence came back, and Jackson thought about reading his book. He looked down at it, but closed it because he didn’t want to seem rude. At least, not today.
"So… Where are you from?" Kenzie asked, trying to fill the awkward silence.
"The moon," Jackson jokes. "I've never left this town,"
"hmm?" Violet responds, raising an eyebrow. She quickly looked around at the group, "well you all sure are social creatures." She chuckled.
"Oh," Kenzie laughed nervously. "Yeah, me neither."
Celeste switched off her phone and looked over at Kenzie and a guy chatting. She smirked. "Looks like Kenzie's got a little something goin' on over there…"
Violet turned to look in the direction of Celeste's pointed finger, "huh, she does, good for her."
Shey shrugged and stuffed her phone into her coat pocket. "Soooo…. Where are you gals from?"
(Lol. "Where are you from?" seems to be the question of the hour.)
