“Yep. She’s not too bad. Sometimes.”
"You're still lucky to have a sibling," she said a little wistfully. "The good times outshine the bad ones."
“Yep. She’s not too bad. Sometimes.”
"You're still lucky to have a sibling," she said a little wistfully. "The good times outshine the bad ones."
“I suppose so.”
Eve giggled at Alex's goofiness before reaching for a glass pan to begin putting together the ingredients.
Bri looked over at him. "You don't think so?"
He continued cutting the tomatoes. "Do you cook much at home?"
“What? Lucille is nice to have around sometimes, even though she’s really annoying sometimes.” Jayden shrugged, he was really awkward with sappy stuff.
"Right. Well." She awkwardly looked ahead.
He continued cutting the tomatoes. "Do you cook much at home?"
"Sometimes. I tend to make a mess though. The food's fine but the I have to clean what feels like 300 dishes afterwards." Eve laughed.
He smiled and nodded. "Sara always does all the cleaning up."
Eve laughed, "That doesn't seem very fair. What if she cooks? Do you clean up then?" she asked, still giggling.
His eyes widened in horror. "Sara never cooks. She'd burn down the neighbourhood."
(somebody)
Eve laughed even harder, "Really? She doesn't seem that dangerous."
(once told me)
"You haven't seen her in the kitchen," he whispered dramatically. He cut into a tomato and it exploded in his face.
A tomato exploded, making Eve giggle. She grabbed the towel hanging on the oven handle and used it to gently wipe the tomato pieces off of Alex's face. "Now look who's making a mess." she whispered dramatically back.
He blushed beneath the towel, but it was covered by the tomato juice. "It wasn't me, it was the tomato," he said in a muffled voice.
"Sure, it was just the tomato." Eve giggled as she finished wiping the tomato off his face.
(once told me)
(THE WORLD WAS GONNA ROLL ME)
He nodded. "Thanks." He unwrapped the cheese. "How much of this do we need?"
Eve looked back at the recipe on her phone, "It says we only need about a cup per layer of noodles and everything else we add."
"That should we about…" He studied the dish. "200 grams."
"I believe so." Eve agreed, still studying the recipe's directions.
He froze. "You know what this is missing?" He wiped his hands and grabbed his phone, clicking fervently. After a few moments, the Hamilton soundtrack started playing. He looked up at her, grinning.
"YEEESSSS!!!!" Eve shouted joyously before singing along to Lin Manuel Miranda's amazing songs. She danced around the kitchen a little bit as she reached for more ingredients.
(Hamilton won 7 Olivier awards this year btw)
"Anything is alright. It's just nice being with you." meara said, not sure what to do.
(I know! I was soooo excited for the cast and Lin Manuel Miranda!!)
"Then do you want to just watch something on tv together?" Isaac asked Meara.
"Sure. What did you have in mind?" Meara smiled, sitting down on the couch warily.
"I have Netflix so we can watch whatever is on there if you want." Isaac suggested.
"Netflix is a blessing to mankind." Meara laughed light-heartedly.
"A true-er statement has never been spoken." Isaac agreed with a chuckle.
