“That’s probably for the best.” Elide stood up and walked over to help Grace off the ground.

Sling… I remember I had to make a makeshift one when I… my parents broke my arm… Jay shuddered, looking away.

"One sec." She said, climbing down to go get it.

He turned back to her. "You stop being shorter than me!" He responded, taking another sip. "Why do you have a sling?"

She turned back around. "I broke my arm when I fell in a mosh pit and someone with really heavy boots didn't see me. Honest mistake." She the went into her room and brought it out.

Elide shook her head as she helped Grace to the couch, “Why can’t you all be quiet?” She said.

"Because no." She said bluntly, handing it over.

Hayes looked over at Jay. "You okay, bud?" He asked him, noticing how he shuddered at the mention of the sling.

"Hmm? Oh, y-yeah, fine… just… remembering when I broke my arm." Jay avoided making eye contact with Hayes.

Hayes sent him a sympathetic look before turning back to Grace. "So how did this," he gestured to her body, "happen?"

Elide looked at the time, realising she was running late or a therapy session, “Crap,” she hurried to her room, grabbed her bag and made her way back to the living room.

"At least this isn't new… I broke my arm jumping off a building." (Hurray!)

"That's an unreliable method of suicide," Hayes muttered, looking at her arm. "Did you just fall down the stairs? You'll probably be fine if that was all it was,"

Elide hurriedly made some toast, and began eating quickly.

"Nope, jumped off a building…" I AM THE ONLY TRULY CRAZY PERSON HERE >:)

“Sorry, I have to go for a bit,” Elide said, “I’ll be back in a few. Need anything while I’m out?”

(Jay: Some self esteem, perhaps a bit of canned confidence. And also I'm dirt poor.)

B(ackstory: once she broke her arm by jumping off a building… yeah that wasn't a good idea…)

"I need pens- but don't get the bad kind, get the kind that sixth graders exchange before ELA and never give back because of how amazing they are." Hayes called out to her.

"Why- I don't know why I'm bothering to question you, but- why the hell did you jump off a building?!" She shouted

She rolled her eyes, “Got it, anything else?”

"Um… I thought it was a good idea…😨😱😥😝😰😎"

(Jay: I am really really poor. Also I am in much pain plz get drugs)
Should I ask? I mean, she asked if you needed anything… so, sure? Maybe? "Er, maybe some ibuprofen or advil or something…"

"Were you attempting suicide? I mean, I've tried too, but not like that. That way's just kinda odd." Hayes said absent mindedly.

Thank God she didn't ask why I needed them… Jay rubbed his sore back, wincing slightly. No, don't show pain! They'll ask questions, you idiot!
