Ash looked away from Sam and spotted a man walking towards them. Damn, he thought. Shaking his head, he called to him. "Hey, Jordan."
RP?
"Hey Lillian!" Jordan smiled, holding his hands out and creating a spark. "It's coming along great! Just you wait, I'll master the element of fire one day."
He looked over, hearing his name. "Yeah, that's me. What's your name?"
"Are you hitting on Jordan?" Lillian whispered to Ash.
"I'm glad it's going great Jordan. Within no time, you will be the master of fire!"
He smiled proudly, a small flame flickering in his hand.
Ash smiled. "I'm Ash," he answered, surreptitiously shaking his head at Lydia.
"No judgement here if you are." She whispers back.
"Nice to meet you, Ash," he replied, leaning against (something???? Idk where we are rn). He admired his tattoos silently.
"I sense some sexual tension between you guys," Lillian whispered to Ash teasingly.
Jordan noticed the whispering and decided to ignore it the best he could, absentmindedly twisted his silver earring.
"You're in training?" Ash asked Jordan, ignoring Lillian's taunt.
Jordan looked down, chuckling nervously. "Yeah, I'm not very good at what I do… not yet at least." He decided not to mention that he sometimes accidentally burns himself with his own fire.
"You are doing great Jordan. Don't be embarrassed."
"Embarrassed? What? Why would I be embarrassed? I'm proud of myself!" He lied, forcing himself to look up at the two, but then looked back down again. His hands reached for his earring again.
Ash laughed quietly. "I trip up sometimes, too. It's definitely not easy. I almost drowned my sister once." Ash admitted, raking a hand through his hair.
"Okay. It's fine to feel EmOtiOn Jared." She laughs in a sisterly way, careful not to offend Jared or make him feel more embarrassed.
Jordan raised his eyebrows. "Man, that sucks." He paused for a moment. "What are your powers?"
(Jared?)
(I meant Jordan. Don't know why I said Jared.)
"Water. And telepathy, though I'm not trained and I never use it." Ash told him. Water and fire, he thought to himself, laughing inwardly.
"A lot more impressive than me," he admitted. He could still feel the burn on his wrist from being careless with his fire yesterday. It was currently wrapped in a bandage, and stinging like crazy.
"I beg to differ. In my high school, we did a project about element-based magic, and fire was proven to be second most powerful, below nature and just above water." Ash assured Jordan.
"Yeah, but only if you can learn to control it," he responded. "I never even learned magic in high school, my parents sent me to a religious school where magic was against god's will, so it was forbidden to even discuss it. I got kicked out in my junior year."
(gtg. ill be back in a jiffy)
(k, see you soon)
"That fucking sucks," Sam remarked, their large smile half-turning into a dark frown. "Want to go over there and kick their asses?"
(Haha, also Jared Kleinman. I'm sorry I'm DEH trash)
(it's okay, so am I lol)
"Kick who's asses?"
Ash stifled a laugh. "The people who kicked you out during junior year.
