He looked at her, doubtful.

Chrisy chuckles, summoning black fire and letting it rest just above her palm. "Sure, there's people like me - people who don't really belong in this world. But then there's people like you, born human and raised human, who still have powers."

He looked at the fire, which was blazing quietly above Chrisy's hand.
He chuckled softly.
"I don't have any powers." He lied, tearing his gaze from the fire and looking back at Chrisy.

"Sure you don't, kid." Chrisy smirks, seeing through the lie immediately.

He ignored her, knowing that she saw right through him and walked over to the door of the coffee shop.
"If we are going to save the world, apparently, I'm guessing we need to find Zane."

Chrisy sighs. "Yeah. I suppose."
Hex said, with a quiet tone, "Maybe we should just leave them alone for a bit? They don't seem like they'd be all too willing to help so soon after that happened."
