Shiloh slipped her hood down more, covering her eyes as she crouched in the dark alleyway. She stared at the looming government building across from the alley. Her uncle had found a way to get Shiloh enough sleep to clear her senses, and now she was going to try to shut down the generator that was keeping everyone awake. "Ethan, how are we doing?" She whispered to her friend via coms.
"Nobody's out right now. Probably all at dinner…..or something. You're clear to go."
"Excellent." Shiloh quietly jumped into a trash basin and launched herself into the roof, then leaped into the ledge on the government building, looking for a way to open the window that had been cracked open just an hour before. Shiloh had been waiting for this opportunity for twelve hours, and she wasn't going to give up now.

"Hey!" Emerald hissed, following the mysterious girl. "Wait! Hold up!"

Shiloh froze. "What do you want?" She hissed back softly, sliding into the shadows a bit.

Emerald pulled down her own hood to reveal her face. "What are you doing?"

"It doesn't matter." Shiloh stared as she kicked the window open.

(Oh, I am totally going to throw a wrench in this one… ;D)

Shiloh grabbed the edge of the window to pull herself in.

"Yes, it does." Emerald sprinted forward, surprisingly fast, and caught the girl's ankle, pulling her back out away from the window. She stood in front of the girl, blocking her from reaching the window. "Because I was sent here to stop you."

"Stop me? From doing what?" Shiloh asked innocently as she slipped her hand I to her back pocket.
