“It's not that expensive… The calamari is a bit more pricey, but it's very good.” he informed her. “They're big on seafood themed foods here.”

"I've never really eaten much seafood. "
“Oh, so it's all-new for you then?” he realized. “If you'd like to try it, we can order a sampler platter. It has a little bit of everything.” he offered.

*if that's okay with you I wouldn't mind trying it. "
“Oh, it's fine with me.” he smiled brightly as a waiter finally came over.
“Sorry for the wait. What can I start you with?”

Maria looked at Marcus and smiled and then turned to the waiter "id like a strawberry margarita please. " she said softly trying to mask her accent as much as possible
Marcus smiled encouragingly back and waited until the waiter turned to him. “I’ll have a Long Island ice tea and we’ll be splitting a seafood sampler.”
“Alright. I’ll bring that out for you in a moment.”

"Thank you. " she fidgeted with her dress as she looked away from Marcus with a slight blush
“Are you alright?” Marcus asked gently as the waiter left, noticing how shy she was acting.

"Yeah I'm okay. " she replied with a softly smiled
“Just checking. I thought you looked a little… nervous, I guess.” he admitted.

"Maybe a little. " she admitted quietly
He nodded slowly, understanding. “It's ok. Honestly, I'm a little nervous too.”

"Really? " Maria was genuinely surprised by him being nervous why would he be nervous
Marcus shrugged a little. “Don't know. Probably because we don't really know each other. And well, a guy doesn't get to be with a pretty girl like you every day so… I guess I just don't want to make a fool of myself.”

Maria's face flushed "I'm not that pretty.. And your not making a fool out of yourself"
“Well, that's a relief.” he chuckled. “But you should give yourself some more credit.” he encouraged.

"Why should I. " she questioned jokingly
“Well, because to me, and I'm sure a lot of other people, you are very pretty and will even find your accent sexy.” he said, that last part just flying out without him thinking about it.

"O-oh really? " Maria couldn't help but smile a bit
Marcus smiled back, blushing softly as his mind caught up with what he just said. “Yeah. Really.” he nodded.

"Well thank you. " she strangly didn't feel as uncomfortable anymore and started to relax
Marcus smiled softly, still feeling a little shy about what he said, but was rescued from saying anything when the waiter came back with their drinks.

"Oh thank you. " Maria beamed when she saw her drink that would definitely help loosen her up
The waiter smiled and gave a polite nod as he set down the respective drinks. “You sampler will be out shortly.”
“Thank you.” Marcus echoed just as gratefully.

Maria took of her sip of her drink and laughed a little " there's like no alcohol in this '
“Maybe a little more than you think. Just not very strong.” he chuckled. “But this is much stronger.” he admitted, lifting his drink before taking a sip.

"Well maybe I'll have to get something else when I finish this. " she said jokingly
“That's your choice.” he smiled, not minding. “I’m sure you know what you can handle. You've probably gone to “pubs” in London.”
