“So can I, though I don't mind going out. Not all the time but occasionally.” he shrugged.

Marcus laughed a little with her. “So, you're a bit of a homebody?” he asked.

“I can understand that.” he nodded. “Sometimes it's nice to just stay at home and relax.”

Marcus smiled a little, unsure of what else to say or do at the moment.

He shrugged. “Most of my life. Or at least, it feels that way.” he chuckled. “What about you? Were you born in London?”

“Nowhere?” he asked a little surprised. “Not even to just get out of town for a couple of days?”

“Well, there's nothing wrong with that. It just means that you love your hometown and probably have some pride in it.” he said thoughtfully. “Though I have to say, you chose to take your vacation a long ways away.”

“Understandable.” he nodded. “Hopefully you’ll find enough of an adventure here.”

“I’ll drink to that.” he chuckled, raising his glass.

Marcus smiled back and took a sip. “So, what made you choose this place for a vacation? If you don't mind me asking?”

“I’m sure.” he chuckled. “But it's a long trip to London from here. I’m surprised you aren't jet-lagged.”

“Huh… I guess the first time on a plane can be a little… uuhh, what's the word? Not disorienting, something else.” he groaned.

“Alright, fair enough.” he nodded with a soft chuckle. “But, personally, I never had a problem with flying. I think the first time I was more excited than anything.”

“You mean the first time? I don't actually remember… But I did mention that I've been to New York before. Umm, I've also been to Chicago. Great nightlife there.” he smiled softly.

Marcus laughed with her. “I guess it does seem a little boring to people who don't live in them. But after a while, you get a jolt of excitement from just going to a different state and playing tourist.”
