Lillian worked quickly until the front was completely stitched up, cutting and tying the wire at the end, "Do you, uh, know if the blade went all the way through?"

"I don't think so," Shaxx sat up slowly but regretted it as soon as Ryan let go. He groaned. Did you want to check?

(bud… I stg)

"Yeah, just sit up so I can see the back," Lillian said maneuvering so she could see his back easier.

(Darling… respectfully, no)

He sat up fully, "Did it?"

"No, thankfully," Lillian let out a sigh moving so he could lay back down if he wanted to, "I think, I think we're good."

(Pero si)

Shaxx grabbed her arm and looked her in the eyes deeply. He stayed like that for a second before realizing she might be scared by this. "Thank you. I owe my life and shall forever be indebted to you,"

(pero no… gracias)

Lillian felt her heart pound in her chest for a moment not really expecting Shaxx do to something like that. His words didn't exactly process in her head as she replied, "Uh, no problem."

Both demons took their human form. "What did that to you?" Darren still kept his distance, he felt the way he did when he had cancer, worthless. "That demon thing has taken reign over the underworld but the only way they can truly rule is to kill us… They are more powerful than I thought and I overheard something about building an army of supernatural beings to help her," Cooper rose to his feet as he ran his hand over his bare chest, wincing slightly as his fingers reached the makeshift stitches.
"That would explain why I lost control of the wolf," Ryan added. "I wonder how many beings heard the call?"

Lillian stayed half kneeling on the ground now emotionally exhausted but kept it from her features as she looked up at the boys, "I hope not man, because that would suck if so."

"I need to go home before my wife kills me… Cooper. You should come over for lunch," Ryan placed his hand on Cooper's shoulder. "Meet the kids for real this time,"
"I'm not sure Belle would appreciate my being there," Cooper frowned slightly.
"Maybe not but I want you there…" Ryan reassured.

Darren walk by Lillian, "You look tired,"

"No, I'm fine," Lillian pushed herself onto her feet brushing off his comment, "You should probably keep an eye on Cooper though."

"I know, we should go home for the night… it's lucky we showed up when we did,"

"Yeah, real lucky," Lillian let out a sigh as she looked to Cooper and then back to Darren, "Let's go home."

"Yes ma'am," Darren smiled at Lillian, kissed her forhead, and at moment of contact, they were standing in the living room.

Lillian let her eyes close as they were transported leaning more into Darren once she knew they were back in the house, "Didn't realize you were going to do it immediately."

"Yeah… I don't have time to waste ya know? I've got this girl that I've been dying to be alone with all day," He smiled charmingly as he always did when he was with her.

"Oh do you?" Lillian looked up at him trying to match his smile, "I didn't know."

He nodded and pressed his nose against hers, "I do,"
