Cooper tensed in his chair, visibly in pain, like a silent heart attack.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, he didn't care who was watching, it felt like they were the only ones in the world. Nothing else mattered to him.

Lillian had an eye on Cooper. He didn't look to be doing so well.

Cooper didn't want to make a scene, he balled his fist but even that couldn't prevent the fireball that formed.

Everything else fell silent. Just resigned to muffled background static. Time seemed to freeze, like it had stopped just for them.

This was the moment he'd waited so long for and it was well worth the wait. From now on, he would be kissing Mrs. Lerman and that made him happy.

Ryan pulled away slowly just to see her eyes again, he smiled at her.

Cooper seemed to have calmed down on his own. She would check up on him after the ceremony.

She smiled brightly, the first smile of her married life. "You're wearing my lipstick. Just saying." It was pretty hard to miss the bright red color that she'd been wearing on his lips.

He wiped his lips but shrugged, "I guess I don't care,"

"You guess? You don't know?" She chuckled. "Either way, I don't mind. At least this way marks you as my husband today." She could barely believe the words coming out of her own mouth.

He linked their arms and took the first step back down the aisle. "Careful now, Mrs. Lerman,"

She shuddered lightly. "God I will never get used to hearing that."

He kissed her cheek as they walked out the doors. They rounded the corners and they were alone. He reconnected their lips as soon as he had the chance.

Cooper put his head down between his knees and ran his shaking fingers through his hair.

He had startled her quite a bit but she didn't mind. She just melted into his lips like she always did and let the feeling consume her.

Lillian walked up to him, "You doing okay?"

He smiled and rested their foreheads together, "Was it worth the wait?"
