"Short term memory loss is a serious issue,"

"What were we talking about?" He joked.

"We'll find a way," Lillian repeated her words. An almost hollow sentence yet it was filled with hope.

"I just don't know how, I've known plenty who have died from the truss and it's terrible to watch. Especially when it's your own brother."

She rolled her eyes with a smile. "Don't play these games with me."

Lillian wasn't convinced either, but she was trying to be optimistic here. She didn't say anything else and just hugged Darren.

"Ryan, come on, don't. It makes me nervous." Her stomach turned slightly. She knew he was probably kidding but she couldn't help but wonder.
