@Mr.Misfit

Elizia ran her data chip through, then boarded the train.

(Funny enough, we're covering the civil rights act in history right.)

@WriteOutofTime

(I just went to a civil rights museum and the phrase really stuck out to me lol)

Valentina headed to the two seats in the very back of the car, sinking into the plush white cushions and staring out the filtered-glass window.

@Mr.Misfit

"Earthers have separate seats? What for?" Elizia asked, "That seems counter-intuitive."

@WriteOutofTime

Valentina rolled her eyes. "By now it's just prejudice and superstition. After Earthers destroyed their solar system with nuclear warfare, people tend to look down on them. Some call them warmongers, killers, etc. By Ame's standards, and Stovia's standards, they're scum."

@WriteOutofTime

(I won't really be on all of today)

@WriteOutofTime

(I'm back!)

@Mr.Misfit

"By Lovuthan's standards, they'd be competitors," Elizia commented. The Cultist Lovuthans weren't war-starters, typically, but they always saw a war through, win or lose. It was always bloody, and always filled with Lovuthan propaganda about purging infidels from the Universe.

Glancing out the window, Elizia noticed a towering building isolated by water on every side. Bridges connected it to the rest of the city, but that was it. She pointed to it, "What's that?"

@WriteOutofTime

Valentina's eyes followed Elizia's line of sight. She surveyed the building, her eyes dimming. "The president's main building for business." She frowned, her mouth drawn. "He's there most of the time."

@Mr.Misfit

Elizia nodded, taking note of Val's expression but saying nothing. She slipped her data pad out of its pocket and began typing out a standby order for the dock crew.

"That's where Brella would be?" She asked, not looking up from her data pad.

@WriteOutofTime

She bobbed a brief nod. "Mm. Third floor is the research facility. West wing is technology."

@Mr.Misfit

"Great! To think that Brella is so close. It's been way too long." Elizia thought for a minute, then snapped back to reality and looked to Valentina, reaching for her wallet, "You probably want some payment, I imagine? You did get me here and saved my rear twice."

@WriteOutofTime

Valentina leaned back, closing her eyes. "No need, techie. The free ride in your ship was enough for me, thanks." Plus, we're not out of the woods yet, she thought to herself.

@Mr.Misfit

Elizia took her hand away from her wallet and instead went about shuffling through her tool jacket, sliding through this and that. One of her little electronics beeped at her and flashed red, a low power warning. Getting on her knees so her wings could be hidden, she summoned them and closed her eyes. The beeping stopped.

"Sometimes, being a walking battery comes in handy," She said, smiling as she put the device away, "What about you Stovians? Any particular gifts?"

@WriteOutofTime

"The third eye's helpful," Valentina explained after thinking about it for a moment, winking the eye in her forehead. "Plus, we're faster and stronger than we look. Gravity's strong on Stovia."

@Mr.Misfit

(Oh yeah… I forgot about that entirely…)
Brella nodded, mulling that over. Gravity was quite a factor. Many humans have grown up in gravity wells, but some who grew up on the asteroids of their system were rumored to be much taller, and skinnier. Barely recognisable as human.

But Valentina was almost as tall as she. That must warrant some special evolution.

"How strong?"

@WriteOutofTime

"I can lift upwards of 600-700 earth pounds." Valentina's mouth screwed up. "But it all depends on the given gravity. Basically, I'm a bit strong for my size on Stovia, where the gravity is more extreme, so most other places, I'm much stronger than that."

@Mr.Misfit

Elizia widened her eyes, hardly believing. The train's approach warning beeped, and the passengers around gathered their belongings.

"Time to go?"

@Mr.Misfit

(Echo?)

@WriteOutofTime

(wow i forgot about this!! i'm in college now so i don't really roleplay anymore. maybe we can pick this up over spring break?)

@Mr.Misfit

(Oh yes! Nice to see you, by the way. How's college life?)

@WriteOutofTime

(good to see you too! college is really, really busy but honestly really fun)
