(Sighs in relief at the same time laughing at my own awkwardness.)
"Someone want to call 911?" Lila asked, "I would do it except I don't have a phone."
Second Generation Superheroes (Open)
“I’m guessing that the Thomas guy would’ve targeted them first. Lila, you help with the fires. Anyone else who can, do. The rest of us will deal with the civilians,” Meg said. She found herself not thinking of herself as a ‘civilian’, really, not anymore.
(XD)
“I can and I do!” Jake volunteered.
(”I volunteer as tribute!”)
"Got it Meg," Lila said she ran off towards the city to help anyone she could.
“Help with fires?” Maragaret asked Jake skeptically.
"Well, where do we start looking? Though we had some issues, I couldn't live without Peter or Nebula or any of the others."
“Thanks, Lila!” Meg called after Lila’s retreating form.
“Help with fires?” Maragaret asked Jake skeptically.
“I don’t know how.” Jake shrugged.
“I don’t know. I’m guessing you know the galaxy the best of all of us; do you want to ty starting the search after we confirm they’re gone?”
"I can manipulate fire." Rogue said, putting out every nearby fire.
“Help with fires?” Maragaret asked Jake skeptically.
“I don’t know how.” Jake shrugged.
“Then help the civilians get out,” Meg snapped. “Sorry,” she sighed. “Stressed.”
“Alright. Rogue, you start searching, I guess,” Meg said.
(Abigail Dara dont find them suspense is necessary :D)
“I don’t know. I’m guessing you know the galaxy the best of all of us; do you want to ty starting the search after we confirm they’re gone?”
"Even I don't know every star. Either way, they hadn't left yet, I know where the ship was parked."
“Well, that’s something. Try it, will you? Thanks,” Meg said. “If you all dont mind, I’m going to check my apartment now.”
“They ran away.” Jake recalled, “But okie dokie. And I’m suppsoed to not get set on fire too right?”
“Alright. Rogue, you start searching, I guess,” Meg said.
"Well, I'll need help. Will you come with? There are enough beds, and there's plenty of food…." she said, making a mental checklist on what they had and didn't have.
“Obviously, doofus,” Meg called to Jake as she ran towards her apartment, not bothering to stay in the shadows anymore. “Sorry, Rogue. I’ve got to check on them.”
Jake started checking the buildings and careful not set himself on fire.
"Well, does anyone want to come see a few planets? I dunno, I can't go it alone."
"And I'll wait." she said.
Lila helped everyone by creating portals to get them out of burning buildings and into safety.
Rogue used her fire abilities to absorb the flames and snuff them out.
Jake came back, “Okay I’m really bad at the ‘don’t set fire to yourself’ thing. Set my jacket on fire 3 times now.” He held up the burnt remains of his jacket. “… I should’ve just let it burn… okay. I’m terrible at life.”
(Everyone just has these abilities and are all cool and Jake is like, “I set fire to my jacket.”)
"Hey, if you want, you can come with…. I'll wait for everyone."
Lila came back a little bit after Jake, "And I managed not to set myself on fire at all. If anyone wants to check on there parents I could portal you there."
Meg’s heart was hammering in her chest as she ascended her apartment’s stairs to the fifth and final floor, yelling, “Dad? Steve? Bucky? DAD? DAD? ARE YOU THERE?” She wrenched open the door to find an empty apartment, a basket of freshly laundered clothes spilled across the floor, a paper bag of plums sitting innocently on the kitchen table. There were small circular holes in a few of the walls, and Meg found the door into her bedroom hanging haphazardly on its hinges. She sucked in a deep breath trying not to cry.
“Bucky?” She whispered. “Steve?”
Margaret entered her dads’ bedroom to find Steve’s shield embedded in the wall, unscathed but abandoned. Meg couldn’t hold back the tears any longer. “Dad?”
Bella meanwhile had been watching carefully and at this she sang quietly to herself. "I set fiiiiire, to the rain…"
