Setting Sail // A historical Pirate RP // One on One // OPEN

Hey! I wanted to start a one on one RP, pirate themed, with romance and maybe a hint of magic/fantasy thrown in the mix! Taking place in the Golden Age of Piracy (approximately 1650 to 1720), one of our characters is the captain of a pirate ship, and the other is…well, we'll figure that out. Maybe they're a French noble, on the run. Maybe they're English, looking for some adventure. A stowaway. Maybe they're part of a Navy and is captured in a battle, or maybe they're a stowaway. I don't know yet. The pairing will be straight, as befits the time period. Also, I don't care whether I'm the captain or the other.

Warning: This RP will most likely feature violence, cursing, and possible smut-ish stuff later on

Rules:

• All of andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s rules apply, obviously
• Post decently long, descriptive replies, please! No one word answers or very short ones
• Be active. I don't want someone who only responds once or twice a day
• If we start getting into a more smutty scene, take it to PMs
• Both characters will be in their late teens/twenties (between 19 and 25)
• You character MUST fit the time period! No jeans or modern clothes, and no opinions that are too modern day, either
• I may add more rules as I wish

Adrianne nodded and clutched her mother's shirt tightly. Soon after they appeared at the tavern. Xena took a deep breath and walked inside the noisy room. She took a seat near the door and put Adrianne on the table as she waited for a server to be free.

Name: Jack Killeen
Nicknames (if any): Bloody Jack, Jackroo (only by his mother)
Titles (optional): Captain
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Personality: Jack earned the nickname "Bloody Jack" for his tendency to be a bloody fighter, and emerge from battle covered in blood. However, he is not bloodthirsty, and is rather merciful to those aboard ships he captures. He is stubborn, and hot headed. He is one of the younger captains out there, and runs a clean ship, keeping all his men accountable. He doesn't mind having women aboard so long as they pull their weight like any of the men, and do their job. He doesn't believe in the saying that women are bad luck, and doesn't tolerate anyone else saying it. He is, however, rather strict about punishment, and his men abide by the rules strictly for fear of being punished for breaking them. Jack is slightly unstable, mentally, due to certain happenings in his past, that he doesn't like to speak of. Around someone he loves, he is very gentle and caring, and can be very romantic when he desires to be.
Looks: Jack is tall, with golden brown hair that is cut rather short. He has no beard, or stubble. He is broad shouldered, with a narrow waist and a muscular body. He has bright green eyes that sparkle in the sunlight. He has a tattoo of a skull and crossbones on his back, between his shoulder blades, and wears a single golden hoop earring in his left ear. He has a brand of the letter "P" on his right wrist. Clothing wise, he typically wears a loose, cream colored shirt, and dark, rather ragged ended pants. While on the boat, he typically goes barefoot, but wears shoes and finer clothes on land.
Favorite drink/food (optional): It varies, depending on where he is.
Backstory: (Note: I tend to leave my backstories very vague, so I can add to them as I go) He doesn't know who his father was, and his mother didn't do such a great job at taking care of him. He ran wild on the streets for the most part, and only went to school long enough to learn basic math, and how to read and write.
Preferred weapon (if applicable): Cutlass, and two twin pistols that he keeps on his person at all times.
Other: his ship is named the Blade and she is rumored to be the fastest ship in the oceans

Backstory: Izzy was set to marry against her will to a 37year old man. She didnt want to marry instead she wanted to travel the world and visit different places she had her travellers and merchants speak of. The day she was to marry, she ran away from home with a small bag of food and water as well as another with a few simple clothes. She went to the dock and got on a ship. Soon after, it was attacked by pirates and she somehow managed to get on board and hide below deck
Preferred weapon (if applicable): she has no weapons but can weild a rolling pin very well
Other: she is great with children and animals

Jack wiped his sword off, sheathing it by his side. He was spattered with blood from the fighting, though he had escaped unscathed. "Take the cargo!" He called. "Set the crew and passengers in the boats and cut 'em loose!"
The pirates scurried to obey him as he went into his cabin to wash up. He cleaned off, and then came out and started helping the crew get the cargo. As he went below decks, he heard a soft sound, and thought he saw something. He dropped the crate, drawing his sword. His eyes darted around. "Who's there?" He called in a low tone.

Isabel heard someone calling out and a short squeak came put of her. She cuddled up closer to the barrel she was beside and drew her bag closer to her body. She peeked out the side of the barrel and saw a rough looking pirate standing there with his sword drawn. Her eyes widening in panic, she scrunched her clothes closer to her body and prayed to the gods that she wasnt caught.

Jack stepped towards the sound, hearing the squeak. "Who's there?" He called again. He narrowed his eyes, running a hand through his hair.

Isabel looked around the barrel again and blinked "h-hello?" She said uncertainly in a quiet voice

Jack immediately had his sword tip at her face, before realizing it was only a girl, and a scared one at that. He lowered the sword slightly. "Who are you, and what are you doing on my ship?" He asked, watching her carefully.

When the Male raised his sword to her eye level, Isabel whimpered. "I apologize for hiding sir, but I was just on the boat you attacked, trying to get away from my horrid family. I only came aboard here because the ships halls were mostly empty and I needed a place to hide. I mean you no harm, sir." She said quickly

Jack sighed softly, rubbing his face with a hand. "Good Lord." He muttered. He looked at her. "Name?" He asked curtly. "As for mine, I am Captain Jack Killeen, and you are on my ship, the Blade." He gave a quick bow, never taking his eyes off her.

"Nice to meet you Captain Jack Killeen, I am Isabel Jayce, although I am more commonly called Izzy or Belle." She I troduced herself

Jack sighed. "You would have been safer staying on your ship, miss Isabel Jayce." He told her. "For the rest of them have been set into the lifeboats and pointed back towards the nearest land. You, however, are now stuck on a pirate ship."

"Oh that's perfect, for you see, I have no wish to go back home." She said standing up and dusting off her grey simple dress
