"Don't worry folks." Rand said. " these fights usually happen on the first day-" Scarcely had he finished, when the students were pinned to the wall by an unseen force. The teacher chimed in. "If you two continue this I'll have no choice but to send you off." The teach called.
Kimber hits her head against the desk on purpose.
Luz nodded slowly and sat back down in their seat. They willed the light to once again refract around them. It was less smooth this time and people could see a diamond based shape shutter across where Luz just was.
Immediately the bell rang, and again.the students were back at their routine. Rand was stoked for physical. He waited outside for the homies.
Kimber walked out. "I hate English."
Luz stood up and stayed in the back. They saw no need to be in a hurry.
"Is that so?" Rand asked, adjusting his bags. He started to head off to the gym, at the center of school.
Luz followed Rand, they were heading to the same place after all.
Gi silently followed them, she hadn't made any friends or talked to anyone. How wonderful.
Rand passed the cafeteria where he started, and took a left, entering a palatial gym, with tons of equipment. Students say around on the floor. Apparently the teacher wasn't there yet.
Luz walked ahead and sat down on the floor. They put the refractile down letting themselves be seen.
Rand sat down next to Luz inadvertently,, dropping his stuff. Students hushed.
Luz glanced around, why'd it quiet all of a sudden?
Gi furrowed her eyes as she sat down. What was happening?
Immediately the teacher walked up in front, in a pair of sweats, tennis shoes, and a crop-top, over that she wore the overshirt to a martial arts gi, with a kanji on the back reading "Akuma". It was the woman from the cafeteria.
"Hello students." She called, casually.
Oh the teacher came, Luz looked up to her that's why everyone got quite.
"Like the rest of your classes, you will be tested here." She called. "Only I plan to kick all your asses." She added. We need three or four people at each weight bench, I want you to register your three rep max." She commanded.
Luz groaned mentally as they stood up to move.
Rand hopped up, and went to the first vacant bench he saw, stacking two plates and a half-plate on each side of the barbell.
Kimber heads to Physics.
Rand sits under the barbell, gripping the rough guard of the bar. He lowers it to his chest, lifting it back up with some effort. The next he feels a healthy burn, and he finishes a third. It took some effort but it wasn't his limit.
Luz had walked over to one of the benches. They didn't think they could lift all that much only putting a half plate on each side, before getting into position to lift. They let out a long sigh as they lifted it up and down three times with relative ease. Maybe half a plate was too little for her.
Kimber sighs, lifting two plates easily
Gi stood by and watch, bench lifting was not her thing.
Rand took off the third weight on each side and put in a full plate. He benched it three times, but he was still a handful of pounds off.
Luz moved and grabbed four full plates adding them onto their two half weights. They went to bench finding that to be much better than before, but still a little off.
Kimber sighs, adding more and more, trying to reach her limit.
