(smack in the middle of Nebraska. I love it here, but there's not a whole lot of cultural diversity. The closest Mark ever got to us was Denver last year on tour. My sis wants to become a game designer because of him)

(aaahhhhhhhhh I'm finally back but oh my goodness never fall asleep in a car it will mess up your whole perception of time like I took a two-hour nap and half my body fell asleep so I could barely sit up and it was the afternoon but it felt like the morning and just ugh)

The next morning Mike woke up early, as was his habit. He sat up, took in his surroundings, and got up, pulling on his boots. He wasn't sure if anyone else was awake yet.

Asura sat against the wall, staring at a light that flickered every once in a while. There were dark circles under his eyes, and a bit of stubble on his chin. He hadn't slept at all that night, even though he was exhausted.
Pluto groaned, an alarm she set on her phone finally waking her up. She shut the alarm off, trying to get up but failing due to something keeping her from moving. Her back ached, and it took her a moment to realize she had somehow materialized her wings in her sleep, and they were crammed in the truck. "Oh my god why, why of all the things…" It took her a few tries to get them to go away, and she stumbled out of the cab. God, she hadn't even put the truck in the garage
Mike poked his head out the door, looking wide awake and well-rested. "Morning. Mind if I make myself some breakfast?"
"Yeah, sure, go ahead, I'll help you in a minute. There's-oh my GOD!" She managed to take a few steps before her wings reappeared, giant and clumsy and not listening to anything Pluto tried to make them do. They were a complete and utter mess, and she resolved to just dragging them behind her as she walked through the door
Mike stepped aside to let her in, his eyebrows raised. "Technical difficulties, huh?"
