Small Farm

"Thanks!" Jayven told the girl, "By the way, what's your name?"

" star" she said with a genuine smile

He smiled back, “Nice to meet you, Star. I’m Jayven but you can call me Jay.”

Star nodded," if you just follow me back to the house I can show you your room" she said sweetly

“Alright thank you. I’ll go ahead and follow you.” Jay said with a smile.

Star nodded once more and let him to her house

Jayven quietly followed her.

Star let jayven to her house she led him inside and directed him to the back and opened the door there was a desk on one side of the room with a desk lamp the back wall was filled with books and there was along side bed.

Jay Glover around the room and smiled, "This is perfect, thanks." He sat on the bed and looked over at Star, "In the morning I need to backtrack a bit and find my baggage. I dropped it on the way here. It should be in the forest a few miles north of here."

She nodded " bathrooms down the hall" she said tapping the wall

"Thanks for telling me Star, and for letting me stay here. Do you live here by yourself?" He asked, realizing he hadn't seen or heard anyone else.

Star nodded, " only child mom and dad just vanished one day that woke up and they were gone" she said

"That sucks." Jay responded, a small frown on his face.

Star shrugged " I got over It quick I could've left but i stayed taking care of everything they left behind" she said.

"Makes sense, there's probably a lot of animals here to take care of, right?" Jay asked.

" this farm has been in the family for generations while animals May b the only alive thing on it there's alot to take care of" she said

"Yeah I bet." Jayven nodded.

"well I'll let you rest" star said starting to walk away

"Alright, good night." He responded before laying back on the bed, She's awfully nice to a person who she just met, but I like that…

" night" star said before going to her own room

Jayven fell asleep quite quickly, being very tired from his journey.

The next morning Star was up and outside in the Barn brushing the horses

Jayven sat up in bed and ran his hand through his messy hair, Where am I, again…? He thought with a frown before remembering, Oh right, I'm at a farm with a girl named Star.

Star was petting a horse named Galaxy he had plack hair and she had him since she was 14

Jay eventually went outside, after not being able to find Star anywhere in the house. He noticed her by the stables and quietly came up to her, watching the horse, "Wow, that's a very pretty horse." He said quietly.

Star smiled and continued to brush the black beauty " His names Galaxy" she said

"Fitting." Jay said in response and watched Star do her thing.

She finished brushing the horse and petted it's mane before starting to walk away
