Frost shade walked out of the medicine den and to the main clearing

"No, thank you, we've got it," Dustyfur replied as they started walking back towards camp. "So, how is Willowshine doing?" He cringed. "Willowstar, sorry. I'm still not used to her being leader."

Swiftwing smiled. "She's doing wonderfully. She's a natural born leader."

(Let's just say the old leader fell off a cliff or something since this is the mountains, that would make the most sense. He's been leader for about 3 years or so (i'm not really sure). Let's just call him Ashstar, I guess. Willowstar was deputy when he died.)

(Wait are you asking how long Willow has been leader for? In that case, she's only been leader for like a day or two, considering Ashstar died recently.)

Frostshade padded over to sit by his apprentice

"Shadepaw" he said nodding his head "who do you believe the new deputy is going to be?"

Finchkit sat in her favorite shadowed corner and observed the clan activities per usual, her tail or ears flicking every so often. Her leaf green eyes seemed to glow faintly in the shadows.

Riverpaw lay in the shade of a bush, trying to seem bored.

Finchkit emerged from the shadows and went amongst the group of cats that had gathered. She was careful not to be stepped on, being considerably smaller than the average kit, even of her own age.

Becoming bored, Riverpaw decided to go find the other apprentices.

Swiftwing reentered the camp, the patrol cats trailing behind her. She padded over to Willowstar. "Everyone is here now."

Finchkit looked up as Swiftwing entered and stood, dipping her head politely. She had always been fond of Swiftwing for some reason, and respected her greatly.

Riverpaw walked near the center of the group and sat down respectfully to listen.

Swiftwing noticed Finchkit's movement and smiled. "Hello, Finchkit."

"Hello, Swiftwing." Finchkit replied in her soft, smooth voice. "I trust the patrol went well?"
