Jay smiled a little, glad that he had this time with Finn, that he…that he could be here with someone who loved him. Even if he had to go home on Wednesday.
Finn held him close. He didn't mean too but his mind went to plans. How to keep Jay safe.
Jay closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again to focus on the movie.
Finn was fully distracted now. He'd seent eh movie about a hundred times anyway so its not like he's missing out.
Jay kept watching the movie. He had only seen it a few times before.
Finn closed his eyes but didn't sleep. listening to the movie and trying not to think about Wednesday.
Jay stayed snuggled as close to Finn as he could get.
Finn turned his head and kissed the top of Jay's.
Jay blinked, and looked up at him.
He turned back at the laptop snuggling closer.
Jay leaned against him happily, returning his attention to the movie.
"I love this," He mumbled holding him closer.
"Me too." Jay replied softly.
"I don't want this to end," He whispered.
Jay looked up at him. "I…I don't either." he said slowly and quietly.
Finn lifted his head. "I'll protect you," He said continuing to whisper.
"I…you can't." Jay replied softly.
“I can if you let me.” His arm loosened slightly but then he held him closer.
Jay shook his head a little. "No, you…you need to be able to keep Poppy." He replied. "I can wait."
"If I have you wait you'll get hurt. I umm what if I talk to him?" He asked closing his eyes for a second.
Jay shook his head quickly. "No. No that'll just make it worse." he said quickly.
"Are you sure? I can be pretty convincing," He suggested thinking of what he'd say to his father. He'd think twice before laying a hand on Jay.
Jay nodded. "I-I'm sure. But…if it makes you feel better, I can give your number to my mom and tell her to call you if it gets really bad." he said softly.
Finn nodded. “Sure but I don’t want it to get that bad. How often does he hit you?” He asked keeping his eyes closed to stop them from watering.
"Just when I make him mad. Or when he's drunk again." Jay shrugged a little bit.
"And how often is that?" He asked opening his eyes again and looking down at Jay.
He shrugged again. "When I do something he doesn't like. He gets drunk…maybe three or four times a week?" he closed his eyes for a moment.
Finn held him even closer. "That's not- That's a lot Jay," He says shaking his head slightly.
Jay shrugged yet again, leaning against Finn. "It could be worse." he countered, eyes still closed.
