“Guys, let’s welcome Aspen! She’s going to be joining us. Don’t bully her.” Lucille said, entering the room with a black haired female.

Jay looked up from a datapad at the newcomer. "Hey, welcome to the team!"

Looking up from polishing her blaster, Phoenix said with a grin, " 'Sup, you're just in time for the mission!"

“K, toodles. I need to double check my bags.” Lucille said, “Don’t bully her.”

"Hey." Aspen said timidly, her eyes drifting to each person in the room.

Jasmine looks over and smiles. "I think you'll fit right in."

Jay shrank the datapad and slotted it into his metal leg. "Alright, alright, no bullying!" Just for the heck of it he turned to Aspen, and for a second his eyes flashed from blue to a strange purple while he grinned

Aspen blinked at the guy who's eyes changed color. "Your..Your eyes!" she exclaimed. "How did you do that?"

Jay chuckled. "I can do a lot more than change my eyes sweetheart. You should see me in a fight."

Aspen smiled. "Oh. Ok."

He shrugged. "Ah well, if we're lucky you won't have to see me in a fight. This should just be a routine 'grab the thing and go' type mission." He then walked over to where Aspen was standing and leaned against the wall. "So where'd you come from?"

"I come from Maine." She replied curtly. She had just met these people, they could be creepy. Probably not, but you could never be too careful. "Where do you come from?" She asked. "And what is your name?"

Jasmine gets up and walks over, just managing to hear the "I come from Maine" part. "That's so cool. Sorry to interrupt Jay, but I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Jasmine."

"Well, as the lady said, I'm Jay. I'm from Earth technically, but I just got called in from a planet called Aquari. Looks pretty cool this time of year."

"D'you reckon we'll ever get a mission there? It be pretty cool to visit it sometime."

He shrugged. "You never know. It's usually a pretty peaceful planet, what with the locals being a bunch of intelligent fish and such. It's kinda like Atlantis, just, y'know, a planet."

Aspen shrugged. “Sounds pretty cool.” She said. “Nice to meet you”
