“So,” Alyx tucked his hands into the pockets of his jacket. “Do you move around often?” He assumed that because she was new here that her family had a habit of moving around. He didn’t have anything against that of course, but what he really wanted to know was why she was living with a hybrid.
She nodded "yeah we never stay in one place very long it's my curse I guess" she said looking down with a chuckle
Ebony's nearly white eyes narrowed suspiciously as her friend walked away. She easily found her classroom, and walked inside. She scanned the room and saw a few empty seats. She sat in a seat near the front of the room, and the other students gasped, staring at her silently. Ebony looked at them curiously, when a group of girls walked in. Oh, come on. Ebony thought, realizing what was going on. The girls stopped and stared at her for a moment, then the girl in front, a blonde with green eyes, walked right up to Ebony and took a breath. She opened her mouth, but Ebony cut her off. "Yeah, yeah, I know." She said, rolling her eyes "This is your seat, and I'm in it. Whatever." She stood, grabbed her things, and walked to the back of the room, leaving the blonde girl in stunned silence, and the rest of the class watching her. Ebony sat down, and glanced around, spotting the twin brunettes Alyx had mentioned.

The twins chattered quietly among themselves while one of them scribbled something on a bit of paper. The other passed the note back to where Ebony was sat and flicked it onto the table in front of her. He smiled warmly, waving to her before turning back to the front as the teacher walked in.
“I see,” Alyx sighed, stopping outside two doors. He could hear the other students getting changed inside the rooms and gently patted Veronica on the shoulder. “Hopefully you can stay long enough to make a few friends. I’ll meet you out on the field, just through that glass door behind me.” And with that he went inside the changing room, letting out a heavy breath when the door closed.
She entered the changing room she knew she'd have PE she always did every school she went to so she had worn gym shorts under her clothes as she walked in the female coach assistant handed her a shirt that everyone had to where it was yellow with a blue S on the front she went to a stall and peeled her shirt off most of the girls changed out front but she didn't want anyone to see her crystal in her arm that's when she saw the shirt was short sleeved she swore but slipped it on she pulled her hair into a sloppy ponytail and kept her hands at her sides as she walked out of the changing room and through the glass door like Alyx had instructed and walked on the field
Ebony unfolded the paper as the teacher began speaking. "Good morning, students." She said "My name is Ms. Smith." The woman had shoulder length, auburn streaked red hair, and blue eyes. "Since this is my first time teaching here, why don't we get to know a bit about each other?" Ms. Smith smiled . "Each of you will write about yourselves. You can write anything you want others to know about you." She picked up a piece of paper. "I'll write some things about myself as well. Tomorrow, everyone will read their papers aloud to the class." She sat down at her desk, and after calling role, told everyone to get started.

Ebony smiled as she read the note. She looked up and gave the boys a small wave. When Ms. Smith told them to start writing, she scribbled a reply, which she flicked back at the two. Ebony started writing down things about herself that she felt okay with other people knowing, which was surprisingly longer than she thought it would be.

Alyx was waiting with the rest of the students outside on the field, sporting the same yellow t-shirt as the others. He always liked Phys Ed because it allowed him to feel the cool breeze during a time he would have usually been indoors. Upon seeing Veronica he beckoned her over with a wave.
The twins read the note Ebony had sent back to them, nodding once unanimously before getting on with the task the teacher had set for them. They had plenty of things to share with people, and not one was telling them they weren’t humans.
Veronica saw Alyx and smiled walking over to him keeping her arms at her sides "hi" she said as she approached him

“Y’alright?” He asked, tilting his head a little when he noticed the way she was walking. He put it down to her not being impressed with having her arms on show, and neither was he to be honest, but they would be running soon and no one would even think to pay attention to anyone’s arms.
She sighed "I'm fine I'm just nervous first day of school jitters and all but other than that I'm perfect" she said with a fake smile

“Alright, if you say so.” Alyx could tell she was lying, but didn’t have the heart to question her. The coach came out onto the field with his assistant and gave everyone the rundown on what was happening.
“Everyone will start from this point here.” He gestured to the white pole he was stood next to. “I need to you complete 3 laps of the track, and I will be timing you. This is not a race, go at a pace you are comfortable with! This is just for me to get a rough idea with what kind of activities I need to set while we are out here.”
Alyx gently guided Veronica to the starting line where the rest of the students were ready to start running. The coach blew his whistle while his assistant started the timer.
Veronica started running she was an excellent runner she was quick she had been in track every year she ran swinging her arms hoping no one would notice her crystal. Her black hair in it's ponytail swung back and forth she was ahead alot of the kids her father would always make her run and she found running helped her control her powers as when she was mad she would often let her powers slip or sad or had any really strong emotion so she ran
Ebony finished writing her paper. It was short, but longer than she had expected. She put it in her bag and doodled on a blank sheet.

Some of the other students, including a couple of the non-human ones, were stunned by Veronica’s pace. Alyx himself was taken aback by it, and it wasn’t until he caught a couple of the wolves looking at him that he realised he hadn’t even started running yet. He couldn't run, not without giving away to the humans who he really was. He turned to the coach and his assistant, looking them both dead in the eyes. “I am excused from this session, I don’t need to run.”
The two adults nodded in sync, allowing Alyx to sit on the grass and just observe the others. He could play it off as asthma anyway.
The twins had also finished writing their papers and had tucked them safely into bags. The two of them always got bored half way through a lesson anyway, even if work needed to be done, so in the end they just doodled on each other’s arms until the teacher dismissed them. Elijah grabbed a blank piece of paper from his bag and wrote another note to Ebony. ’What class you got next? We have biology.’
'Same here.' She replied. They seemed alright, not like some other supernaturals she had met. Besides, at this point, she highly doubted these two would try to kill her.
Veronica made it Around the track three times with ease and sat in the grass next to Alyx "did you break a leg?" She teased

“Huh? Oh! No it’s just my asthma.” Alyx replied, smiling nervously as he rubbed the back of his head. Of course he couldn’t tell her what he really was, what if she became afraid of him and told other people? He picked himself up, dusting the grass from his joggers. “Come on, we should get changed before next lesson starts. I have biology, do you know what you have?”
She pulled her schedule out of her back pocket of her shorts she looked at it her eyes romaing over the black inked text "bio" she said still looking at the paper in her hands forgetting about her crystal in her left arm

Out of the corner of Alyx’s eye, he saw the crystal. So many questioned surfaced in his mind, like why was there a crystal in her arm? What exactly was she? But he thought it would be rude to ask, especially when there were other students around. “Cool, I’ll walk you to class so you know where you’re going.” When they got back to the changing rooms, he quickly changed back into his normal clothes and waited outside the girl’s changing room so he could walk Veronica to class. He could sense something a little dangerous about Veronica, and perhaps it had something to do with that crystal. Only one way to find out.
Ms Smith announced to her class that the lesson was over. “Remember to bring what you’ve written to tomorrow’s lesson! I’m excited to find out more about you all.” She was oddly upbeat, especially for an algebra teacher, and it made the twins a little suspicious. They rose from their seats and made their way over to Ebony. “Let’s go! The quicker we get there the more choice we have of where we sit.”
After changing she walked out of the room greeting Alyx with a smile, her grey jacket now tied around her waist "biology right?" She asked tugging on her sleeves, a nervous tick she had, and for some reason Alyx made her nervous and excited all at once
Ebony smiled. "Yeah, good idea. Hey, what's the deal with blondie over there?" She asked, looking at the blonde girl that had tried and failed to intimidate earlier. She hadn't payed too much attention during role call, so she didn't know the girl's name.

“Oh, that’s Marissa.” Elliot rubbed his chin, glancing over at his twin. The two of them had always ran with Marissa, she had always been the girl you wanted to be friends with. Over time however she had become nothing short of a stuck up brat. “She won’t touch you, just stay firm with her.” They started walking to biology, making sure Ebony was with them.
“Yeah we have bio.” Alyx smiled, gesturing for Veronica to join him. The biology lab wasn’t far from where they already were so he didn’t get too lost. He could tell that Veronica wasn’t calm, but why was the question.
She smiled following Alyx down the hallway to the biology.room every step she took the hallway seemed to get narrower and narrower which caused a problem considering Veronica was claustrophobic
Amarro glanced around. He could smell some people coming… It was his brother with someone else. He looked around; most of the ice had thawed, but there were some frozen test tubes that had cracked. There was no time to clean them up, so instead he just took some sink water in a plastic bowl and splashed it on the door, freezing it once it had soaken onto the surface. He repeated the process until the door was covered in a sheet of ice. He thickened the wall a few times for good measure and then squeezed through the open window.
Ebony walked straight past Marissa, fully aware of her glare as she followed the twins out into the hallway. "So, which way to biology?" She glanced around at the other students walking by, all of whom seemed to know exactly where they were headed.
Veronica Turned to Alyx¨ So have you been here your whole life or have you moved around you don't have to answer that I´m just being nosy.¨..¨sorry¨ Veronica said mumbling the last part

“This way!” The twins each took one of Ebony's hands and led her towards the biology lab, quickly weaving their way through the crowds of people.
“Ah…” Alyx rubbed his chin for a moment, thinking. “I’ve moved around, but I’ve been in this area for about a year now and my family plan to remain here for the foreseeable future.” Of course, he couldn’t tell her why why he had moved, that was another story in itself and it revealed some information he wasn’t sure he wanted her knowing.
They reached the biology class at the same time as the twins and Ebony, Alyx offered the three of them a smile and a wave as they drew closer.
James started walking , headphones playing some type of old rock music, and he sniffed the air. "new meat, interesting~" He grinned to himself.
