Stuff is Slow, So Here’s a One on One (Closed)

The title says it all. Maybe we could do a fantasy genre with some soulmate sort of theme? Not sure, open to really anything lmao.

Guidelines:

• Rated R/MA for possible violence and gore, profanity, and sexual situations (will be taken to PM though).
• LGBTQ+ is accepted (even preferred for this!).
• Characters can have abilities/powers/be other races, but please try not to be too OP.
• Please be literate, can’t stress that enough! (Preferred sentence count is three. Two if fine I guess, but make the two sentences strong ones. No one liners though, they are hard to go off of).

(Yeah, definitely! I had thrown in an idea up at the top, but did you have any sort of suggestions to expand the previous idea, or a new idea?)

(Oh, thanks lol. So for the two characters we could do one prompt that I’ve seen where you see the world in shades of your soulmates favorite color, and when you meet them, things gradually begin to shift back to their normal colors when the soulmates are around each other. We could do something like that, or a different prompt if you know if another one.)

Yeah, totally! We can definitely do that. Who were you thinking the character’s should be (gender/age wise)? I tend to do more like early 20s characters and they are usually LGBTQ friendly. It’s kind of funny, I barely have any completely straight charcaters lol.

Name: Cora Wright.
Age: 22 years.
Gender: Female.
Preferred Pronouns: She/Her.
Sexuality: Lesbian.
Race/Species: Human, empathy abilities (she can feel the emotions and pain of those around her).
Appearance: Waist length/ginger/very curly and thick hair, fair skin tone, freckles all over her entire face/neck/collar bone area, pale blue eyes, more of an hourglass shaped build, around 5’6 or so.
Personality: Almost too emotional (mostly because of her abilities), stubborn at times, ambitious, determined, introverted, tends to be quiet around people she has just met, very loyal, generally friendly, affectionate, gentle.
Strengths/Talents: Doesn’t give up easily, tends to stay committed to a routine, a decent cook, good with dogs.
Weaknesses: Unable to control her abilities at will, prone to panic attacks, constantly believed to be and seen as frail and sensitive, terrified of loud noises.
Background: Sort of developing, but one important thing is that she was in a really bad car crash when she was a child that killed both of her parents. She lived with her aunt and uncle for a while, but now lives alone in a smaller home in a nice town.
Other: Studying psychology in college. Has a 2 year old German Shepherd named Dakota that was trained to alert her if she is about to have a bad panic attack, considering they tend to come without warning when she gets stressed.

Cora would kill for a cold coffee at the moment. Or really anything cold in general. She was out on a jog, Dakota prancing alongside her not seeming tired at all. Cora was panting though. Exercise tended to be her way of coping with any stress or random emotions she picks up from nearby people. Conveniently, some man not watching where he was walking had ran right into a pole nearby, and she felt it. She had tumbled to the ground as well, Dakota giving a worried while as she had nudged Cora’s neck with her snout. She didn’t seem too beaten up, just a skinned elbow and sore nose. Eventually, she made her way into a cafe, Dakota trailing in behind her. She hoped that she was allowed to bring Dakota inside. She had met many others locations where she had to keep Dakota outside, even though her harness classified her as a service dog. The nerve of some people.

Cora glanced up to meet a pair of very light colored blue eyes. She didn’t say anything for a moment, slightly taken aback by the woman’s attractive features. She cleared her throat softly, rubbing at the nape of her neck. “Just a small iced coffee, black,” she said, taking her wallet out from the pocket of her tight fitting jacket. “Oh, and um- if you have any wider cups or maybe bowls, could I also get some water?” She added quickly, glancing down at Dakota as she spoke.

“Thanks,” Cora mumbled, stepping aside. She reached down to rub Dakota’s fuzzy head, the bigger dog sitting alert besides her. “I know, girl, it’s coming,” she murmured quietly to Dakota, scratching behind one of her big ears. She knew she probably looked strange talking to her dog, but she didn’t have too many friends. It was hard, when her torturous abilities always seemed to get in the way.

Cora’s lips twitched up into a very faint smile. She was unable to tell of the woman was just being polite, or if it was a genuine sort of thing. Sometimes she wished she was able to read thoughts instead of feel others emotions. “Thanks, her name is Dakota,” she spoke up after a moment. She set the bowl of water down, and Dakota began to lap at it with a furry swaying tail. It was almost obvious by the way Cora’s posture and tone was that she wasn’t good with many social situations.

Possibly genuine, actually. Should Cora ask what the woman’s name is? Or was this just to be a quick one time chat while Dakota was drinking. “It’s been well so far, and you?” She asked. The back of her neck felt hot, and she couldn’t tell if it was from the temperature in the room, or the attractive woman’s gaze.

Horrible? The woman must be good at hiding her feelings away or something. She hadn’t felt much sadness or anything along those lines coming from the woman. “Oh, I’m sorry about that..” she said in a slow, hesitant tone. Of course she was tempted to ask. But she didn’t know the woman, it wasn’t her place to ask. She resolved to take a long sip of her coffee, actually enjoying the slight bitterness.

“Comic-Con? Oh, um, I wasn’t planning on going, no. I don’t go to many crowded areas, and I don’t think they would let me have Dakota in there,” Cora answered, her hand reading down to absentmindedly stroke Dakota’s fur. If a panic attack were to come on, and she couldn’t get out of the crowded area, it would just get bad. And it would be so much worse if she didn’t have Dakota to warn and calm her down.
