“I had everything I needed in there,” Vaughn responded nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders. He clicked a pen open, writings few more words quickly at the bottom of the note he was leaving.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan looked up, "Nice. I forgot you're practically a doomsday prepper."

Dylan tapped a few keys and turned the laptop, "I managed to find a truck with a tow. It also has a bed cover, so we can use that as both storage and sleeping." He smirked, "It might be a tad bit uncomfortable."

"Great, thanks! I've got supplies on their way here," Avery stated, taking her phone back out and giving it a quick glance.

Vaughn rolled his eyes slightly. Just prepared for situations such as this one, he thought sharply, biting his tongue so the words wouldn’t be said aloud.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan gave a thumbs up, "Now we just need to get there."

"Which falls on you, Shadow Star," Avery stated, using his new nickname. "Can you use those prints to make transportation?"

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan gave that some thought. The last time he had built an automated vehicle was when he had replicated his motorcycle right after he left high school. It had been one of his proudest moments. Now he just had to make a boat.

Easy, right?

"Give me a few hours to study those prints, and then I think I can."

"Okay, cool. Do you have them? Or do I need to have Oscar print them off again?" Avery questioned, checking something on her phone again.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan fished in his back pocket, pulling them out, "Right here. I'm going to go upstairs, and work on this. If you need me, let me know, aya?"

@Mr.Misfit

(Whoops… he said okay, not Aya. That's a me thing.)

Avery nodded once. "Sure."

Checking her phone again, she smiled, then walked to the front door. A moment later, she was talking with someone. That someone had apparently dropped off the things that she had been talking about earlier because Avery came back with another two duffle bags. Letting out a breath, she set them down next to the door, then turned back to the person she'd been talking to. After a minute or so, she closed the door again.

Vaughn frowned when he heard Avery talking to someone else. His jaw tensed, and he told himself to stay quiet and stay packing up.

Avery turned around to see Vaughn frowning at her.

"What?" she asked, wondering why he looked so… well… angry.

“Mm, Nothing,” Vaughn responded, zipping the two duffel bags shut.

"O-kaaay…" Avery drawled.

She picked the duffle bags up and walked back to the couch, where she sat down and set the bags on the floor. Unzipping one, she rifled through it, making sure everything was in it that she asked for. When she had finished with the first one, she did the same with the second.

Vaughn looked through various cabinets until he found his medication. He opened the pill bottle, putting two pills in his mouth, and swallowing them dry. He walked over to where Avery had taken the bags, stuffing the two bottles into a pocket that also held a first aid kit.

(Whoops… I should have mentioned that they were her duffle bags, not Vaughn's…)

(Lol. 'Kay.)

Dylan, meanwhile, had gone upstairs to his room. He laid on the comfy bed, the lights down low and a lamp on, studying the way he did at school. As he read dimension after dimension, angle after angle, he made it up in his mind. He created a 3D model, picturing it this way and that. Every once in a while, he'd form a mini-model, just to see.

This went on for a bit.

Vaughn pushed himself up to sit on a counter top, boots almost touching the ground. He took out his pistol, unloading it, then reloading it. He did that a few times, listening to the click it gave each time when sliding in and out of its place. He set it aside on the counter, looking out a window at the wilderness.

After making sure that everything was in the duffle bags, Avery pulled her phone out of her pocket again. She sent a quick message to the group text that consisted of her team, then turned her phone off completely, knowing that she would only get a million questions if she kept it on.

AVERY: I'm going on a mission. Don't know when I'll be back. If I don't come back, Jen's in charge. I love you guys, don't forget that.

(Bumping.)

(This is going to be a long thread…)

(I'm honestly sort of having fun with making this longer and longer…)

“When are we going to go?” Vaughn called, to no one in particular, really.

Looking up, Avery answered, "As soon as Dylan is ready with our boat."

Vaughn exhaled sharply and nodded slowly. “Alright..” He didn’t exactly want to leave. The thought of leaving and going to anywhere unfamiliar made him feel sick to his stomach. He told himself that it was just the mental illness putting the thoughts in his mind, but he couldn’t help it. He unlatched the window, cracking it open a tad, breathing in the fresh air.

"You all right?" Avery asked, noticing Vaughn's habit.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan repeated the process two more times, then went downstairs. He looked to Avery, "Are we all good to go?"

Avery looked at Dylan, giving him a small smile.

"I'm good, but I'm not so sure about Vaughn," she stated.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan strode over to Vaughn, who stood by the window breathing in the air. He clapped Vaughn on the shoulder. "Heya, man. Are you ok?"
