Vaughn looked away from them and over at Kaz when he made that comment about giving them alone time. He laughed a bit and nodded his head. “Maybe it might be a good idea. Let them do whatever. We’re in need of alone time as well, love,” he said, musing out the last bit as he winked at Kaz, flashing a wild and toothy smirk.

"Yeah? Don't tease me baby, I might do something embarrassing to you," Kaz purred, grinning ear to ear as he returned Vaughn's smirk with a grin of his own. He reached for Vaughn's hip, giving it a teasing little pinch before chuckling

Dylan chuckled, resting his hand on Avery's shoulder before turning towards the truck, "Don't be. For all we know, it'll be the really nice last time. Or the first of a million more. Or maybe just a hundred? I dunno."

He slid back into the driver seat and honked the horn, waving with his arm as a signal for the others to hurry on up.

Avery smiled and walked around to the other side of the truck, climbing in beside him. “I would hope it wasn’t the last,” she said softly, shooting him a quick smile.

Vaughn licked his lips at Kaz’s words. He chuckled and laced an arm around Kaz’s waist, leading him over to the truck. “Save it for when this mess is over,” he mumbled and got into the back with Kaz.

Dylan nodded, unsure of how to answer. Kaz and Vaughn got in the back of the cabin, and Dylan pushed the accelerator.

He angled the laptop towards the others, "We're headed up that western route, see it? Area's covered for most of the way from the rest of the region. Seemed like a pretty good way to avoid being seen."

Avery looked over the computer screen and nodded slowly. “Seems good to me. As long as we don’t get ambushed by anyone or anything,” she mused, brushing a stray piece of hair back behind her ear.

Dylan smirked, "You say that as if we're being hunted or something. Well, I did go ask the wizard of luck, and he so kindly informed me that because we're trying to save the world, we are most certainly going to be ambushed. If that doesn't make you feel better then I will add that if we need to, we can stop by the town right at that little bay… however you pronounce that. I'll leave that call up to you guys."

Internally, Dylan doubted the need would be there. The trip would take about 4 days at the most, and he'd planned for five. Plus the slight excess of food meant that they wouldn't be put off by the addition of Kaz. Unless something went awry, it should be perfectly fine.
