Superhero teens with secret identities and obligations. What could possibly go wrong? / Closed

Piper rolled her eyes at Pietro.

Pietro stuck his tongue out at her.

Lolita felt the buzz in her pocket, and she barely mustered the strength to pull it out. She pressed the button on the communicator and tucked it behind her ear where Deiniol couldn't see it. "Go for… Lolita…" she whispered.

Wren laughed, dizzy with happiness. "Where are you, sugar?" She mouthed 'Lolita' to Piper and Pietro.

(They're already fighting like siblings do…lol)

Piper crossed her arms and did an imitation of Peitro.

Piper 's eyes widened and she nodded at Wren.

Pietro was so excited at the prospect of finding Lolita that he ignored Piper’s terrible impresssion of him.

"I… I don't know. Some warehouse," Lolita breathed.
Wren punched the air. "Okay, did you turn off your monitor before? I wasn't getting a reading."
"They… were using electricity on me… That's probably… why…"
Wren instantly stopped and tightened. "They what?!"
"He wants Piper. So… he kidnapped me and… is torturing me."
"Okay, sweets. I'll be there in a bit, I promise."
"Hurry please."
"I will. See you soon," Wren signed off and took a deep breath. "She's there. The reading was of a recent power scan. That place is loaded. We need to hurry."

“Piper’s not coming,” Pietro announced.

Wren narrowed her eyes. "What?"

“That guy wants her. There’s no sense in delivering her on his doorstep.”

"Maybe there is…" Wren's clockwork was turning.

“Um. No, there is no way we are doing that. Byeeeee, trespassing lady. As I have said multiple times, you can leave now.” Pietro was exasperated.

Wren turned and walked simply out the door. If they didn't want to find Lolita, she would. She got in her car and clicked the key into place. The silver Corolla sprung to life.

“Yay! I don’t have to call the police!” Pietro clapped his hands. “Okay, Piper. Let’s do this.”

Wren laughed to herself. They didn't know about her powers yet, and, for the time being, she decided not to tell them. She backed out of the driveway and sped off down the road in a screech of tires.
