Tyson looked behind them. "Hey, so do you think we're safe now?"

Tyson looked behind them. "Hey, so do you think we're safe now?"
"Safe? Maybe for a little while, but not forever," she said, looking over at him.

"That's what I meant. Just… the doctor guy. I guess we've lost him," Tyson added, "We still have no idea where we are, though."
"Well…ummm…no we don't," she mumbled.
Patagonia paused for a moment to take in this woman. She seemed nice enough, trustworthy even, but he couldn't be too sure about anyone. And the other person who'd begun to talk… he couldn't tell about them yet. "So… Tell me a bit about yourselves."
"Ummm. Honestly, there's not much to tell," she said, shrugging.
"Oh? Any ideas as to why we're here, then?" Patagonia knew he was coming off as a little condescending, but if these people weren't who he suspected them to be, he could be totally and completely fucked.
"I just remember my name, Kai, and know that I had… have?… ice powers." Kai butted in quietly, almost whispering his response.
"Hmm…I've been thinking about that. But all I know is they want to examine us or something…I don't know how we got here or anything. That thought makes me feel a little weirded out," she replied.
"Oh yeah…the tattoos…," she muttered, not thinking about them till now.

"It makes me wonder if they tried to give us some sort of power or drug or something," Tyson said.
"I have no idea, I don't think bleeding excessively is a power," she said, laughing nervously.

"True, nor is having ink come out of your arm. I'm pretty sure I've stained my clothes beyond repair," Tyson replied with a laugh.
"Me too," she agreed, looking down at her blood-stained shirt.
"Ha yeah, you guys got the worse end of the tattoo deals…" Kai chuckled with them.
"Drugs? Powers? Tattoos?" It was all too confusing, and even if he had more than two brain cells left from all the stressing he'd done recently, he still wouldn't be able to wrap his head around anything. "Since when did I get a tattoo? Or get high? And don't you dare try and convince me we're in Wakanda or some shit. I'm Dr. Payte McAdden of Pheonix, Arizona. My daughter Jasmine is in preschool, and I- I must've overdosed on antidepressants this morning. If you have fucking Ice Powers then that could just be last night's drink, and if we're being tested I've obviously done too many operations and I'm having nightmares. This is all just REM sleep, like I got in a car accident, or… Or I sedated myself or something. I get that you're having visions, okay? I get that we're trapped or whatever. But I've studied the human mind since I could read, and this can all be explained without getting all heeby-jeeby-spirit vibes or whatever. Now there's got to be a goddamn way out."
( HAHA THAT ME!)

"Why are we all having this dream together, then? All of you seem more real than any dream I've ever had," Tyson said, trying to rationalize the situation out loud.
(Oh shoot I need to start rping on this.)
"Jesus Christ, don't you understand? We're all as confused as you are. We're scared, anxious, nervous, you name it. But we're trying, okay? I don't understand any of this…I'm scared. Really scared. Please don't make me regret being nice to you," she said, turning away from both of them.
(Lol, where'd Y'all go?)
( Hi.)
( Do you mind if I time-skip my character?)
(That's fine.)
(SORRY I WAS TRYING TO FIX AN RP lol i broke the signup sheet)
"I…"
There was nothing Payte could say. He hadn't meant to hurt his newfound friend; he'd only been trying to explain things to himself, try to get rid of the stress headache that was ever-present, lingering in the back of his neck. Maybe he had been too pushy, in which case he needed to apologize. But he couldn't find the words, so he began to sob silently, falling back against the wall and falling to the ground, face in hands.
She looked back at him and frowned. She walked and sat next to him. "Hey..it's okay. I'm sorry, sometimes I overreact about things," she said, putting her hand on his shoulder. "The only way we can figure this out is by working together."
Zoe groaned on the floor. The deity known as Cicasita closed the portal. "good luck." She whispered before completely closing it. I have to warn them. She urgently thought to herself and started running.
"You're fine. I just need to calm down." Payte shrugged her away softly and closed his eyes, hoping desperately to block out everyone, everything. It was too much. (am i overdoing this? lol)
"I..okay…" she whispered, standing up and shaking her head. She crossed her arms and sighed, mumbling things under her breath. (Nah you're good)
(WEEWOOWEEWOOWEEWOO…idk..)
