“Okay!” Ean agreed, pressing a button on the remote he was holding and bringing the drones next to him to life. “Let’s go!” He made his way out, the drones following him.
The creature turned his head towards Freya. He vigorously nodded his head, having heard her voice in his mind. Vexhorc was well aware of some beings being able to speak via telepathy. He suddenly stood up, being careful with his claws and muscular arms. Once again he stood at his full height.
"Yaya! Bad fight big ugly in own ground. Need hard rock. There mountains here? Mountains usually always hard, tough rock, hard burrow."
Vexhorc ran his bright blue tongue along his lips, then continued, "Vexhorc and Cruax find big ugly. We lead big ugly towards mountains, or where ground hard, hard burrow."
(Okay, I'm posting now! Sorry for taking so long!)
Seo and D'Aja had fallen asleep to reruns of old Earth cartoons, again. D'Aja was still sleeping hard, but Seo had woken up and now she walked along the halls with leaded feet, still groggy and feeling like hell. She and D'Aja had only been here for a few days and travel didn't sit well with Seo's stomach. She headed for the cockpit, hoping to meet up with someone and see if they'd landed yet.
Iris picked up her devices and brought them with her, looking at the small screen in her hands "Let's head there, and see what they think." She said and walked back to the cockpit. She looked at the group still there and waved "we whipped up a few basic devices to assist our endeavors."
Watching the window, as he detected someone moving, KH turned around and saw Seo. He was not one to initiate conversation, but decided to, because Strex told him he should do more conversations. He walked over, calling out, “Hello.”
Strex looked up from her desk. “Oh! What did you guys make?”
Ean was all too eager to show her. “I made some remote-controlled drones that we can use to watch the kaiju and then we can press a button to make them emit high frequency sounds!” he told her, sounding almost like a kid at show-and-tell.
"Hey, KH. Ean, that's awesome!" Seo gave a small applause in approval.
Iris laughed at his excitement and showed her screen "and my burrowing robots also emit a high frequency sound and have extremely bright lights, to lure him towards our trap." She said pulling up a small animated description.
“Yup. Awesome.” KH said, as if the words he just spoke were ‘alien’ to him. Which they were. Most robots were not built with this sort of intent to make these sort of bonds. Even if years had passed, experiences could not erase what was programmed into him. With the words trap, KH also decided to add something.
“I also contacted Choaliv, and they said we can use one of the mining areas for a trap. They haven’t been used very often, with the kaiju around and whatnot.”
“Choaliv’s land is pretty flat, from what I’ve heard. Not many mountains. But I did hear there are some hard spots of ground..” Strex thought. She turned over.
“Those robots and drones will help for sure!”
"Perfect." Iris said, a singled pointed tooth showing. "We should be landing any minute now, I'll go check on our supplies and make sure we are all able to survive that terrain." She said
"I'll see how Dee is doing, she was out like a light when I woke up but she'll probably be doing better now." Seo nodded. She couldn't wait, this was her first official Kaiju hunting mission! She knew, just knew, that it would be absolutely amazing.
Freya kept silent, focusing more on piloting the ship than everything else. She knew her team would be able to handle something like this, so not an ounce of worry passed through her. "Initializing Final descent. Everyone hold on for atmosphere adjustments." The ship gave a mighty shake as they passed into the plants atmosphere and Freya flipped a few switches to stabilize the craft. Within moments she could see the grainy surface of the planet.
Iris sat down at her place and buckled herself in. "What's the plan once we head down there?" She asked no one in particular
Vexhorc didn't have much to do now, so he slunk back to his quarters. The others were busy with their own things, some of which he wasn't too sure about. The 'metal bugs' (drones) were something Vexhorc wasn't too willing to put his trust in such technology. Then again, he hadn't really been around the stuff, only knowing survival naturally. He had grown following instincts, and learning of and about the world around him back home. They had no such advanced technology back where he was from.
He entered his room, sitting down on the rug on the floor. Cruax, the hound, had gnawed its bone down to near nothing. Vexhorc reached a clawed hand over, lightly scratching the beast upon its head. The hound seemed to make a low prrum as it was scratched.
Iris nodded "perfect. Ean and I can go down first with our devices and scan the surroundings. Do we need any protective gear or is the air breathable?" She asked
The ship gave a gentle bump as Freya expertly landed on the surface of the planet. Flipping a few switches to stabilize the ship, she unbuckled herself and made sure that her mental voice carried through to all of her team mates. "We are a go team. Looks like the surface is stable and the atmosphere is breathable for those that don't require much oxygen. Those that do, I'd bring along your packs." She disentangled her self from the cockpit and made her way to the hatch where most of her hunting gear was stored, the seam of her lips tilting just enough to show the very tips of her deadly fangs in a small smile.
Iris nodded "thanks for that bit of information Freya." She said simply and walked towards the large window, looking down at the planet. "Leta grab our things and head out shall we?"
“Sounds like a plan!” Ean agreed, getting his things for the mission. He wasn’t going to lie; he was a bit excited. The only thing that would this better would be spicy food.
(bump)
"Perfect. We shall set our things on the surface while the rest of you gather information" iris said
After getting all of his stuff ready, Ean headed to the doors. “See you guys in a few minutes!” he called cheerfully.
(Kinds liked this ro, imma bump)
