Raylynn was surprised by the gesture, but his face flushed softly and he smiled. “ thanks..”
“That's the thing about friends, isn't it? The more you love them the more it hurts when they let go.”... He paused “allow me to demonstrate “
"No problem," Rae continued to walk with Raylynn, "So tell me a bit about yourself, we are gonna be walking for a while,"
“Well.. I'm a shapeshifter,” he mumbled
"Oh I am an elf," he responded glancing back at the other boy.
“ oh cool,” he said and nestled into the blanket. He gave a gentle purr-like sound.
As Rae kept walking he thought he heard something. He glanced back at Raylynn only to find he was the one making that sound and his face became warm. "Are you. . . Purring?" He chuckled.
Raylynn almost jumped out of his skin when the other asked that “ahm.. No?” he tried to lie. But his face gave it away as it turned a shade of red
"It's fine, its kinda," he paused before continuing, "It's kinda cute," he glanced back a smile.
Raylynn only flushed darker, the purring getting louder as he fully let himself enjoy the heat of the blanket.
It wasn't many times when people were nice to him, so he was enjoying it
Rae smiled. "So where are you from?" He asked as they kept walking.
“I.. I'm from a town that was burned down long ago..”
"Oh. . . sorry for asking,"
“No, don't be.. It's, it's in the past and I can't change it,” he said softly, his purring stopping for the moment as he looked around “we should make camp, there are few hours left in the day”
"Yea your probably right," Rae then pulled a small tent out of his bad and placed it down on the ground. It looked as though it could barely fit a small adult.
Raylynn looked at the tent and sighed. ‘Long night’ . He thought to himself
Rae crawled in the tent and soon his whole self was inside. "You coming?" He shouted from inside the tent.
Raylynn nodded and crawled in cautiously.
Rae saw Raylynn crawl inside the tent. On the inside it looked like a small hous with a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and one bedroom. "So what do you think?"
“It’s fucking huge.” He mumbled
"That's-" Rae waved his hands in the air, "✨Magic✨"
Raylynn laughed, sounding like something of a melody. “ well thank you. Do you have some extra blankets, or am I supposed to sleep with you.” he was only joking, though he wouldn't say no to the offer
Rae's face turned red at the comment, "Well I have a couple extra blankets but if you really want to-" he trailed off before finishing
Raylynn chuckled, shifting into a full bobcat form. His lean body brushed against rays legs as he went to go lay in bed
Rae smiled. He went towards the bathroom to wash up and he saw that his face was red as a tomato. He washed up and walked out he came to bed and got under the covers with raylynn at his feet.
Raylynn purred loudly as he slept, sounding kinda like a white noise machine
The sound of Raylynn's purring was so calming it lulled Rae to sleep.
Once the sun rose, raylynn fought to stay asleep.
During the night hed somehow managed to move so that his back was against raes chest. Their hips pressed against each other. He didn't dare move, as to not wake up rae
Rae was fast asleep. He was a very heavy sleeper but could tell when he needed to wake up. Right now he didn't need to wake up therefore he didn't.
Raylynn eventually fell back asleep, somehow comforted by rae being so close to him
Rae soon decided it was time to get up so he opened his eyes and saw Raylynn on top of his chest. He felt his face turn a bright red. He decided not to wake him and sat there. Awake.
