I wrote a short story in fourth grade. It's been sticking with me for years, mostly because I want to finish it and never get around to doing it. It's about these six girls. Six best friends in the seventh grade. They, one night, get together for a sleepover. They watch movies, tell stories, go swimming in the dark, all the fun stuff. They decide to sleep under the stars. However, something strange happens. While they are settling in to finally fall asleep, and a rock just falls from the sky. Not a big rock, maybe the size of your hand. The curious girl cracks it open, releasing six odd-looking orbs. One is like a miniature star (fire). One is like a bubble filled with water (water). One is like a ball of glass, with a pink flower inside it (nature). One is like a small cloud (air). One is a sold sphere of rock (earth). And one is made of pure ice (ice). Each girl accidentally inhales a different orb. Then, they gain powers of the elements, depending on which orb they got. I know, it's cheesy and stupid, but I think it could really be fun. I made this into a game with my friends and we used to play it. It was fun then. Maybe it would be fun now???
