"But you said that you understand them, that means you agree with them, no?" Ruzis asked, sitting on a downed tree.

"So… where did you get that pendant? You've never told me, even though I've asked you many times," Deya asked, braiding more hair.

Colin paused, something flickering in his dark eyes. He gripped the pendant tighter. “It was from my fiancé.”, he told her finally, busying himself with a tangle of creepers.

"No I mean I don't like her at all silly!" She started to laugh more.

"Oh? Did something happen? You seem sad," she said and stopped braiding his hair, sensing this was a sensative topic, "If you don't want to talk about it, that's alright."

"Then what do you not like her for?"

"She killed my father! What else?" She said .

Colin shrugged, feigning nonchalance and promptly failing. “Her name was Scarlet. The Queen killed her.” He blinked back tears.

Deya flitted in front of Colin and hugged him on the bridge of his nose, "I'm so sorry, Colin, if I had known, I wouldn't have asked."

He smiled sadly, giving her back a light stroke with his finger. “I don’t mind.”

"My mother killed everyone I knew really." She said with tears, "How us anyone going to like me now?"

Ruzis felt sorry for her." I don't know."

"Exactly"

Deya laughed, sat on his nose, and into one of his eyes, "You know that tickles!"
