All the old gods are dead, so there needed to be new ones. That's where our characters come in, after the main greek time period, the old gods started to die and new ones were formed, either as the gods children or just made to be a god.

Draven heard the planes before he saw them. Craning his neck to look around, he didn't see anything. He was tense, maybe too much so. It could just be a passenger plane, he told himself, but instinct said otherwise. And his instincts had saved his life more than once.

He ran a hand along the piano again, fingers lingering against the white pained wood. Peri helped me pick this out… He shook the thought off quickly.
