Drew sighed, but kept his hands on Bridgett's shoulders. He replied quietly, but frustrated, nonetheless. "About time. That kid didn't deserve a thing he was gettin. Just wish I was here to see them get taken in."

"Ha! If they were here when I arrived, you would only see little flesh bits on the floor next to me. Nobody hurts a kid without a beyond logical reason, and even then." Allison said quickly before checking to make sure Jay was still sleeping to not hear her violent outburst. "My name is Allison Joleis, yours?"

He looked briefly at Allison, "Drew Lancaster. Pleasure." He turned his attention back to Bridgett. "You're okay too, right?"

Jay stirred a bit, tightening his grip on Bridgett's shirt. He seemed to be dreaming and soon woke with a start, gasping for breath. His heart rate shot up again. He looked around frantically as though expecting to see someone that he wanted to avoid.

Bridgett looked at Allison and touched a finger to her lips as a signal to be a bit quieter. "Allison here's quite a fiery one, it seems. Yeah, I'm okay, really tired though. Oh, if it makes you feel better, I think I gave Jay's parents a talking to and a nurse slapped his dad. They took them while I was talking to social security." Bridgett smiled.

"Hey, you okay?" Bridgett asked.

"W-Where are they? Am I dead?" He said quickly, looking down at himself. "No… n-no I can't be dead, everything hurts too much for me to be dead…"

Allison heard the monitors go off when his heart rate went up. She then rushed to his side. "Take a deep breath, and close your mouth. See if you can try to stop a sneeze. It puts pressure in your chest, lowering your heart rate." she said as she looked around to see what she had available in case something went wrong.

"W-Where are they? Am I dead?" He said quickly, looking down at himself. "No… n-no I can't be dead, everything hurts too much for me to be dead…"

Drew smiled, kindly. "Your parents are in jail. You're okay now. You're not dead, you're in the hospital. You'll be okay. Bridgett, Alison and I are here. Now lean back so you don't hurt yourself worse."

Allison remembered. She grabbed the chocolate bar on the bed pan. "Its the only thing I have from home. Its super good, got lots of minerals to help replenish your system and it tastes amazing." she said giving it to Jay.

Jay drifted off to sleep again and the chocolate bar was left hanging loosely in his hand. It was almost midnight at this point, and he hadn't gotten more than an hour or so of sleep for the past few days.
