The Lost Children of Neverland // Closed

Yes, Neverland exists. Unfortunately, it's nothing like the stories say. Peter Pan, the thieving menace himself, kidnaps anyone from the age of five to eighteen and brings them to Neverland. Many things can happen to these children that Peter takes. They can run away and become slaves to pirates like Captain Hook, working the day away on a sailing ship. They could disobey Peter Pan and become food for the monstrous mermaids that lurk in the deepest waters. Most of these children end up trapped in Peter Pan's forest prison, for Peter is trying to remove the curse set upon him by a witch. If Peter manages to capture the souls of twenty children, he will be released from his Neverland imprisonment.

The lost children can either give in to Peter Pan, or attempt to escape and pray that they won't get caught.

Rules:

  • LGBTQA+ is allowed
  • Be nice to other people (characters can dislike other characters, though)
  • All of andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s rules apply
  • Keep it PG13 everyone
  • No Mary/Gary Sues
  • Up to two characters per person
  • Have fun!

Backstory (optional): Peter took Colin to Neverland when Colin was 13. He attempted to escape shortly after being sent to the prison, but didn't even manage to leave the forest before Peter caught him. Colin hasn't tried to escape since. He considers it his obligation to keep the other children there alive and well.

Personality: Pike has social anxiety, and has trouble speaking to other prisoners. Intimidation often works on her, and if you push hard enough, can convince her to do almost anything you want. Pike hates this about her, and it's often why she doesn't socialize (in fear of being taken advantage of). Although quiet, she is loyal to the bone and gets attached easy.
Appearance: Thick messy red hair, ending on her shoulders. Freckles dot her nose, and she has striking green eyes. She is thin, on the edge of malnourished. Stands at 5'4". Long legs.
Backstory (optional): Pike was taken by Peter Pan on her 14th birthday (what a great birthday present lmao). Since then, she hasn't attempted to escape as she is afraid to do so. Pike is sort of happy she got taken away because her home life wasn't that great.

Colin blinked a few times to adjust to the bright morning light. He was surprised that he had fallen asleep at all. In fact, he didn't even remember falling asleep in the first place. Colin rubbed his eyes as he stood up, brushing the loose dirt from his clothes. The other children slept around him, but he didn't wake them up. They needed as much sleep as they could get before Peter came.

Colin’s movement shook Jasper, who had been next to him, awake. The tall boy squinted up at Colin through a haze before tapping his leg and waving a little.

Colin jumped when he felt a tap on his leg, but a smile crossed his face once he realized who it was. "Ah, good morning Jasper." Colin made sure to stay positive for the other kids.

“Good morning,” Jasper signed back. He looked around at the other kids, trying not to jostle them. “Do you know when… he’s going to come?”

Colin turned towards the entrance of the large cell they were trapped in. The cell in the branches of a large tree, which Colin had only seen once. "He always comes to check on us in the morning," Colin said after a few seconds of silence. "Just to make sure none of us escaped. I'm sure he'll do the same today."
