The helicopter slowed to a stop, landing on the vast grassy plateau just in front of the mountain range before them. "This is as far as I can take you. If I go any higher the chopper won't be able to fly properly," the pilot announced over the headsets

Nyir took a deep breath, hoisting herself out of her seat and nodding. Slipping her backpack onto her back, she gave the pilot a small salute. "Thank you," she said, jumping out of the helicopter and onto the plateau. She looked around the expanse, taking it all in with a gasp. It was breathtaking. The mountains around her rose majestically into the vibrant blue sky. It was almost surreal.

"Thanks," Tori said in the head set before tossing them off and jumping out of the helicopter. The breeze was a bit chilly but it felt nice. This was Tori's biggest adventure yet, and she wasn't going to leave until she found what she was looking for.

Nyir glanced towards Tori, her eyes solemn. "Ready?" she asked, motioning to the peaks rising above them.

"I was born ready!" The mountains were huge and would definitely be a work out, but she was training for this, nothing could stop her now.

Nyir's brows lowered over her eyes. She felt a strong swell of determination. "Let's get going," she said. "I'd like to make it before nightfall if possible."

The helicopter waited for everyone to unload before taking off again. Before them was an enormous circle of mountains, their peaks obscured by the clouds. No one had ever gotten past the mountains, not since they had mysteriously appeared hundreds of years ago. Behind them were the plateaus, steep grassy drop-offs that plummeted miles into the plains and steppes below

(they just got off the helicopter, we've barely done anything. if you're lost you can just say you were there the entire time)

(well it depends on whether or not you want to be already in the city or if you want to be looking for it. it would be better if there were more people looking for the city, that way more people could hop in at the beginning)
