The chancellor led him to the royal court room, letting him take the throne.
"The announcement was already made three hours ago."
Chakuro nodded, biting his lip to keep from screaming profanities.

August turned when he heard Charlie’s voice. He could notice the shift in her usual expression, and gave a weak smile before stepping over and tugging her into a hug. “I know, we’ll figure this out..” he said quietly, ignoring their mother’s calls.
"The priests are saying things again. I memorized it. . ." Charlie said quietly, resting her head against August's chest as she leaned into his embrace.
(Yeah, I’m going to make him deaf I think)
August did his best to read Charlie’s lips, though with the positioning in her heads he more caught bits and pieces. “Don’t listen to them..” he responded.
Charlie nodded slowly, her thoughts pierced by their mother yelling from downstairs, only reaching them in incoherent words.

“What time is it?” August asked, letting go of Charlie, though he didn’t really want to. He glanced around the bedroom, hands stuffed into his pockets. He’d always been the more timid and quiet one.

"A little after sunrise. I barely slept last night…" Charlie said, rubbing her eyes tiredly as she looked up at August. He still looked like the same quiet, twelve year old boy he had been six years ago. The same dark eyes and messy hair.
(I just realized that I didn't add horns and wings to Chakuro's profile, but I don't know if he can have those, so, yeah)

After a few minutes, Gabriela finally finished packing a large backpack. "Genie! Are you done yet, we need to go?!"
"I'm ready!" she shouted. She greeted her twin, "Let's go!"

Gabby looked around. "One question…where do we go exactly? Are we taking a train? A bus? A car? Are we just walking?"
"I say walk," Genie replied.

August nodded in agreement, a sad look in his usual bright eyes. “When do we have to report to..?” He began to ask, but trailed off towards the end. He couldn’t remember how to form the sounds of the words. He didn’t know if he was saying anything right, just copying the movements of other’s mouths. He knew how to do sign language, but he thought it would be easier for Charlie this way.
