"Yeah, friendly. . ." Charlie agreed, looking down at her hand in his. She looked back up, playing with the fabric of her dress with her other hand. "You don't wear a crown very often, do you?"

"No, it hurts my horns." he reached up and took the crown off, staring at all of its gold and bejeweledness.

"What's it like to have wings?" Charlie asked him as she weaved an illusion behind her. Wings with golden feathers unfurled behind her, gleaming in the candlelight of the halls.

“That sounds horrible,” she said. After a moment’s pause, she glanced at the sky. “We might be expected in a few minutes.”

"Well, yes, but what's it like to fly? I've never tried it before." Charlie said, letting the illusion fade away. Large ones like that took her energy away.
