The Meraki Program: A Soulmate RP // group // OPEN

Wren turns back to Addic. He notices Addic checking him out and grins, knowing his effect on most rational people. Besides Tara and Taz, of course.

"Hey, Addic. My name's Wren Levan. Wren for short." he bows, the straightens, his grin turning devious.

"Hey, I assume you see that big dude over there downing the sugar packets like they're water or something? Go talk to him. I'm pretty sure I've seen him glance your way a couple times."

Avrey steps back, letting them talk, smiling. damn, this is the longest I’ve ever talked to people I don’t know. he tugs at his jacket, watching the exchange and then looking back at Taz. oh god no. Please don’t make him mad again. I don’t want to see him mad

Wren glances at Avrey and walks up to him, whispering "Don't worry. Taz is probably sugar high by now." He then steps back and looks at Addic, trying to gauge his reaction.

Avrey watches, fear in his eyes. oh no, oh please dear god no. he laughs awkwardly at Wren, then pulls at his jacket again.

“Umm… what-what kind of music a-are you into?” He asks, gesturing to Wren’s headphones

Wren smirks and pulls out an earbud, securing it in Avrey's ear, putting the other one in his own ear and pressing "Play" on his phone. Immediately, "Press Restart" by Walk the Moon resumes.

Taz looked up from whatever he was doing with his backpack. He stared blankly at the new person for a few seconds before tilting his head to the side, grinning slightly. He looked over their shoulder at the group and then back at Addic.

"Names Taz. Did those people send you over here?" He spoke carefully, his smile was slightly odd now, but he seemed friendly, still smiling.

"'Cause either you've got a death wish or an idiot, and I'd suggest you think rather hard about which." He said it still with a friendly voice, though his attention was now back on his bag, he had no interest in this person, friendly, hot, or not.

Apollo turned his music up, keeping his gaze constantly sweeping the room to observe everyone else, when Avery had smiled at him, he had smiled back slowly.

Just don't get to attached to them Apollo He heard his sisters voice say in his head they could all be gone in an instant she said, he shook his head as to rid himself of her voice, then slipped his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants.

Avrey smiles. Okay, so he’s the dad type. he glances over at Taz again, maki sure he was okay.

He sighs, turning back to Wren, gesturing to the phone. “Okay, okay, I-it’s my turn.”

Wren laughs at Taz's words, his rumbling, southern voice easily audible over everyone else. He looks at Avrey to gauge his reaction to the entire thing. Wren sighs and pauses the music, allowing Avrey to see his phone.

"Can you guys flirt somewhere else?" Tara finally snapped, pulling out her airpods and sending the people around her - Avrey and Wren, Addic had left, thankfully - a frigid glare. "I'm not sure if you're aware, but I was here first, and I don't want to be here. Don't make it worse than it already is."

Without waiting for a response, she stalked to the other side of the room, away from the group that had decided to gather in the corner. She glared angrily at them, wishing not for the first time that her mother had never found out about this stupid soulmate thing. She did not want to spend the rest of her life with anyone in this room.

Wren watches her as she walks away, then turns, once again, back to Avrey.

Avrey stared at her nervously, flinching when she yelled at him. He sighed, then types something into Wrens phone.

“Now this, th-this is my kind of stuff.” He says, grinning. Anorexorcist by Nirvana starts playing, and Avrey closes his eyes to the hard grunge rock.

Taz sighed, the friendly smile of Addic was starting to get on his nerves. He zipped up the backpack, doing his best to give a blood-curdling glare at the other male. He'd seen how Tara trying to annoy him had only made the situation worse, so he set his jaw and made eye-contact, eyes cold. He was still sat against the wall, and he braced himself for if he needed to quickly get to his feet. He carefully stood up, biting the inside of his mouth to keep himself from saying anything, though his brain was screaming at him to yell or hurt the person still smiling at him. Taz shouldered his bag, breathing out through in nose.

"Yeah, okay." Wren says, listenin along, grinning at Avrey's closed eyes. "Not my type of music, but I have something else for ya."

He puts on a game soundtrack, the DOOM OST. The first song that plays is BFG Division.

Avrey laughs, grinning at Wren.

“Y-you’ve got interesting taste.” He says, smiling faintly, as his gaze turns back to Taz again.

“Shit…” he says softly, giving Wren the airpod back. “O-one second.” He adds, walking swiftly over to Taz and Addic

Wren laughs. "Yeah, I know."

He watches Avrey walk over to Taz and Addic, curious.

Taz froze, midway torn between walking away or staying in his new chosen spot. He chose the latter.
He looked Addic up and down, evaluating him. He gave his best grin again, showing his teeth. The bag on his shoulder held protectively behind him.

"Oh, just some stuff I own. Im sure your hoping for somethin' far more interesting, huh? Unfortunately, we're not all here for your entertainment. I suggest movin' on, the coffee's awful, so it's probably right up your alley." Taz said with amusement, head tilting. He knew it wasn't much, but if he had any chance of staying in this program, with Dr. Brimstone in the room especially, he couldn't afford to beat this guy's face in. He just seemed to tick him off in ways he couldn't explain.

Avrey slowly made his way over, immediately wishing he didn’t. shit!! What am I doing here?? he nervously inches closer.

“Um… it’s A-Addic, right?” shit… now he knows I was eavesdropping. Shit shit sh-

Taz's eyes widened, and his head turned towards the anxious brunette. His hands relaxed at his sides, and he instead looked very curious. Why does he keep showing up? he thought curiously. Letting him approach and speak to Addic. He let out a breath, back pressing back against the wall, eyes flitting from each person, tracking their movements. His own brown hair was a mess, but he didn't bother to move it from his eyes. Taz stayed silent waiting with amusement to see where this would go.

Avrey fiddled with his hands, glancing at Taz, and then back at Addic. “I-I’m Avrey.” He holds out a shaky hand, teeth clenched. What are you doing!!??

Taz breathed out quickly in a half-snort, he watched Avrey struggle for a moment longer, eyes sparkling with amusement. His lips curled back into his already signature smirk. Taz shoved his hands in his pockets, shrugging his shoulders.

"This is cute and all, but does anyone actually know what's going on? We've been given no instruction? Nothin'? Doesn't any of this strike y'all as suspicious?" He said, slightly exasperated with the rest of the people in the room. No one had continued to ask Dr. Brimstone anything, and he'd been interrupted by Wren when he'd tried himself. His yellow eyes flashed with suspicion, but he leaned back further into the wall, trying to look relaxed.
