The Old Gods aren't Dead (Closed, stalkers welcome)

Most people believe that the greek gods of old never existed. Others think that they simply died off. Both are wrong. The gods still walk among us, reincarnated into human bodies. But when an old enemy rises, they must succeed- or die trying- to save the world.

There are up to 13 spots open, although I understand that there may not be enough people. Ideally, there would be someone for each of the twelve olympians, and the old enemy (I will let the person who chooses that character decide which greek monster/diety they would like to be.). However, I understand if we can't get that many people. Feel free to interpret each gods personality, relationships, etc. as you like. We don't have to stick 100% to the original myths/portrayals.

A Few Rules:
-I'm fine with swearing, but please no demeaning slurs
-LGBTQ+ is okay and encouraged

• Please keep things PG-13, if explicit situations arise, we can do a time skip, or create a seperate thread
• No Mary Sues/ Gary Stus

Don’t worry! There’s no rush to this, just as long as it stays moderately active. I think we’ll get character sorted out tomorrow, and start the role play after everyone is organized.

I would leave most of the decision up to the person who is roleplaying them, because I want them to be comfortable with the character. However, it would probably be a manevolent being form Greek mythology, such as Echidna, Tartarus, Typhon, Ouranus, Nyx, etc. The enemy could be the classic interpretation of the monster, or a reincarnated spirit.

Would there be a last name for the reincarnation whenever we make the characters?

Sure, if you want! It’s really up to you. Also, feel free to make your characters now, or later, just now that not everyone will have their characters up until tomorrow (or longer if people need more time. Sometimes life gets crazy)

Name/God Reincarnation: Dionysus Lawrence
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Taller than average, but not by so much that it was noticeable. He had a mess of light brown hair that was always unkept and uncombed, and a seemingly chronic 9 o'clock shadow. He has a long, fading scar that runs from the base of his ear and along his jawline from a freak skateboarding accident during his teenage years.
Personality: Lazy by nature, he's a laid back but pessimistic guy who always sees the glass half empty instead of half full. He has a bit of a potty mouth, but knows when to install the filter when the situation requires it. A wild one when drunk (which is often), he has a tendency to break things when alcohol begins flowing into his system.
Weaknesses: He has a tendency to party….a lot.
Strengths: He's tough as nails and likes to help the outcasts of the world.
Weapons/Magic: A long, steel staff
Relationships/Dynamics: Work in Progress. He prefers casual flirting over actually doing anything and resists getting attached to one certain girl.
Extra: He has a never-ending bottle of fine wine on him at all times.
