PLOT OVERVIEW
People have been falling mysteriously ill all over the country. Doctors have no explanation.
Turns out, their shadows have been stolen. Someone is collecting them to feed them to the beasts of the Underworld. In order to stop him, we need to steal the shadows back and release them. For that we need a special key, which lies through a portal and in a desert wasteland.
WORLDBUILDING
The Underworld is the only thing from Greek Mythology that I'm including in this. Underworld culture is Gothic based, with a dash of the old Greek feel. Hades created a hierarchy and now chills in the palace with Persephone.
The Desert is mostly Arabic based, with a dash of Renaissance in the clothing. Nomadic people roam, gradually settling in different spots, building huts made of clay. The key was originally from the underworld and is made of ebony.
