(Maddox: I'm literally leaving ice everywhere and you can't figure out what's wrong with me? I thought you were a doctor)
Maddox nodded and lay down, sighing as he saw snowflakes flying above him. Why is it so much worse now? What happened? Is it because Farren scared me?

(No hun he's a medic which means he makes dying and pain a little easier
And it's Ferran not Farran)
The medic pressed a button and Maddox slowly slid into the tube.

(Frick I thought I typed that o well)
Well, this is strange… To say the least, the tube made him a bit claustrophobic and he had no idea what it was doing to him, so it was a bit stressful.

"Alright scanning complete! Seems like you got a fright from something and your powers went into defense mode."

"Um, is… is that bad?" The walls of the tube were quickly freezing, and Maddox's hair was icy again.

"No. I mean, sort of. It's kinda out of control. We'll give you a pacifier and it'll be right as rain."

"A pacifier?" Maddox sat up, hitting his head on the top of the tube. "Ow… what do you mean?"

"A shot. It'll subdue your powers until they can balance out."

"…Okay." Well, I hate getting stabbed by anything, but it's worth a shot.

The tube slid away. The medic prepped the shot and walked over. "This will hurt."

(YEET THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I'M ALIVE ISN'T IT :'D)
Maddox stared at the long needle apprehensively, involuntarily shying away from it. Yeahhh, I'd really rather not.

The medic gave him an apologetic look. "I'm gonna need your arm…"

He hesitated before holding out his arm, ice crystals forming on his skin from his anxiety. Why am I allowing this?!

The medic took a deep breath and jabbed him. "Sorry…"

Maddox's hair stood on end, and for a moment it seemed that he had frozen himself. But after the needle was out of his skin he moved away, trembling.
(Doctor: Wait there's still five more)

(Doctor: lol I love my job)
"There that should do it! You're free to go!"

Maddox nodded and quickly left the office, looking around for the exit. He eventually found it and bolted, running blindly out onto the sidewalk.

Ferran sat on the bench near the training area, letting the pacifier calm him down. He wondered how Maddox was doing….

Maddox looked around to see if he could find the others, his heart pounding. At least my magic is a little more under control… He spotted Ferran and ran across the street towards him.

Ferran looked up. "Maddox! Are you okay?"

"Yeah… y-yeah… bit shaken, but fine…" Maddox looked back at the building he ran from, shuddering.
