(1. Marya finds Cal and kisses him and begs him not to leave, and if he still leaves, her heart will be broken)
(2. She doesn't find him and he doesn't come back, leaving her heart-broken)
Marya walked unsteadily through the halls, wondering where Cal could've gone. Marcus wasn't around here, he was in a different room. So why was Cal coming here? Which hallway did he take? There were two, right and left. Weighing her chances, she decided to take the left hallway.
( Cal would be heartbroken if Marya kissed him and he had to leave. )
Be there in a sec. Cal told the voice, leaning against the wall and letting out a pained gasp. He lifted his shirt up and checked the bandaid on his chest. Crimson was already soaking through it. "Great. . . just great." He muttered, furrowing his brow in pain.
The walls were made of stone, covered in paintings from the family that had previously occupied it. They looked like a mixture of the Addams family and the Potter family, almost like vampires. Marya's ears twitched, picking up on some sound. Some words. But they were distant, far away.
Cal resisted the urge to call out for a nurse. He couldn't break the deal between him in the man. Instead, Cal sank to the ground, groaning as he began to pull the bandaids off. After he managed to pull the first layer off, his forehead was already coated in sweat.
Marya started to speed up, until she caught sight of a lock of brown hair. She swerved, rounding the corner and dropping to the ground in exhilaration. "What the hell do you fricking think you're doing, fricking lying to me?"
"I-" Cal began, but was cut off by a round of coughing. The blood stains on his bandaids continued to get larger. "I'm trying to keep you safe." He managed to say in between pained breaths.
"What the hell do you mean?" she knelt down, unwrapping his stomach bandages. "I'll have to get you new ones." Marya pulled out the ointment and gauze from her pocket. "You're damn lucky I have these on hand." her eyes softened. "Tell me the clear truth, Cal. What's going on?"
"I can't." Cal replied, groaning softly as closed his eyes. His forehead was already burning up and sweating from stress.
"Tell me the truth. I don't bite. Well, not you anyway." Marya started dabbing ointment. "You need to rest. Goddamn it Cal, I can't have one day back from prison without you getting hurt." she reached around him, wrapping the new layer of clean, white gauze. "Tell me what's going on with you and Nimue. Are you guys secretly dating? I won't get mad. Okay, maybe a little mad."

“They’re not secretly dating,” Kirin said, leaning on the wall. Nimue quietly stood behind him, head bowed. “I’d be incredibly surprised if they were.”
“Always one for the dramatics,” she muttered to herself. You’ve known him for three days, Nimue…

"Who the fuck are you?" Marya grasped Cal's shoulders, glaring at Nimue and the man.
“The king’s Riptide,” he said, mock bowing with his arms spread. “On an assignment.”

"Oh my fricking god. Are you fricking kidding me? Can you cut to the chase instead of being fricking cryptic and all that shit?" Marya crossed her arms, ears twitching.
“Rude,” he said, crossing his arms again. “I’m here to bring your boyfriend to the king. As you can see, I’m very good at being discreet.”
"Discreet." Cal scoffed, but immediately winced. "Except for the fact that you were practically talking in my head."
“What do you mean ‘practically’?”

"Shut up and talk, stalker. We made a deal. You take me and leave Nimue alone." Cal responded, glaring at Kirin.
“Of course, of course,” he said, waving a hand dismissively. He loosened his hold on Nimue’s mind, who stepped to the other side of the corridor to slump against the wall. At the same time, he beckoned Cal to stand up, the body obeying quickly.
Cal stood up, furrowing his brow as he tried to resist the hold that the man had on his mind.

"Holy god. No. No, no, no, no." Marya stood up, holding onto Cal. "You stupid little shit. You should've told me about this." she held his face in her hands. "Don't go. Trade with me."
“No no, not possible,” he said, calm demeanor cracking for a moment as he looked up worriedly out the window. “The king wants Cal and if I don’t bring him back, he’ll have both our heads.”
"No. You're staying here, I'm going." Cal said sternly, putting one of his hands on Marya's. "It'll be okay, Little Wolf." He said softly, giving her a weak smile.
"What about-what about-" she was grasping at straws,"What about our future?" she looked at Nimue, angry. "How could you?" she turned back towards Cal. "I love you, you raspberry assnut. We could've worked this out together. You could've told me." Marya pressed her lips against his, wishing that their first kiss could be in different circumstances. Her kiss was desperate, pushing herself against him until there was no space left between them. You little asswipe.
“I probably shouldn’t be seeing this,” Kirin stage-whispered to Nimue, Who glared at him. He winced and awkwardly stared out the window to give the two a moment.
Cal wrapped his arms around Marya, pulling her closer as he kissed her back deeply. After a moment, he pulled away, his blue eyes heavy with sorrow. "Love you too, Little Wolf."
"I'm going to get you back. I promise. And when I do, I'll murder the king and the guy who took you." Marya glared at the man, swinging her bloody axe over her shoulder. She turned towards Nimue. "And from now on I consider us to be no longer friends."
