Laima tilted her head, staring at Breanna. There was something odd here, not just the fact that some rich girl came to see a gang member's boss, but also the rich girl's sharp eyes and confident tone in front of obviously suspicious people. It looked like the girl had glanced at her wrist moments after Laima had taken her bracelet off of it. Yes, Laima was
"And what business do you presume Roman owns?" Laima asked, slyly shifting the girl's bracelet into her open pocket just to see if the girl would notice.
Thief Roleplay, Anyone?
Mira headed over to Romans place, knowing that he would be here.
As Laima interrogated Breanna, she fingered a bottle, looking at her team. She wondered whether Breanna would notice her small movements - if so, she was more than a rich girl or a regular person.
Dove stared at Breanna, confused, and a bit jealous. "Roman? He's not worth your time."
(Hi! Is it too late to join?)
These people were an interesting group, but it didn't seem like they were likely to give up much information. Breanna followed the path of her bracelet. She needed to get it back. She usually communicated with her clients using pieces of jewelry and that bracelet had an incriminating inscription on the inside. She decided the best way to go about this would be to directly ask for her bracelet. "It was very nice meeting you all, but I don't think you will be able to help me today. Now if I can get my bracelet back, I will gladly leave."

Yeon smiled at the bracelet remark and looked over at Laima, arching a brow.
Mira watched them through the window, thinking that as they all had bounties on them, she should take the chance.
Laima grinned back at Yeon, pulling her bracelet out of her pocket. "So you're not just a rich girl, huh?" she asked. "You've got to be something more to notice those slight movements," she said, and as she waved the bracelet in front of Breanna she noticed something written on the inside.
"Hey, what's this…" she murmured, peering closer.
Breanna wanted to reach out and snatch the bracelet from the girl, but she knew that by doing that she would make the group more curious about what was on her bracelet. "Just the serial number and code of the bracelet, nothing too important." She could feel herself getting increasingly nervous. "Now if you could give it back?" She held up her hand for the girl to drop the bracelet onto.

Serial number?, Yeon thought. He could tell that the woman was lying, but he kept it to himself. He hoped Laima could tell that something was off as well.
(Hi! Is it too late to join?)
No, go ahead!
(Masalee, early 20s, longish black hair worn in a braid, wears the uniform of local law enforcement, a leather bracer, and the curling pattern of a tattoo is visible wrapping from her back onto her shoulder)
Masalee opened a new text:
Hello May! There is a book I want you to steal, but it's located in the Imperial Palace (forgive me if I misremembered the name!). A woman named Dove is assembling a group of thieves to destroy this book. Join them and use them as your way in, and don't let them destroy it. Remember what I know about you and all the ways I can ruin your life if you don't obey :)
May. Just the sight of her old alias, and cold horror gripped her insides. Her back burned in phantom pain and she fidgeted with the ties of her bracer before she realized what she was doing and forced herself to stop. Deep breaths. She could handle this. It's just a job, one job, and then they'll leave her alone. Maybe. Her phone buzzed again and she found a map to a location where she could find the others. A moment to compose herself, a moment to change into street clothes, and she left for the mysterious location (which btw is Yeon's place).
Laima smiled wryly. As a fortune-teller from her town, she was taught to catch lies. It wasn't very helpful, after all, when a customer starts lying to you to get their way. She peered closer at the bracelet and noticed that the numbers did look like some sort of serial code, but they were too carefully scratched in. It looked to her as if Breanna had polished it as well.
She was almost convinced, but she needed a bit more. Laima glanced at Yeon, who had a suspicious, nonbelieving look on his face. Yup, he thought the same. Now there was no doubt.
"So a rich girl with a fake serial code and an ability to catch thieves." Laima murmured to herself. She looked Breanna in the eye.
"Now, who are you?"
"That is none of your concern." Breanna said pointedly. "I can tell you my jeweler if you want. He crafts his bracelets very well and you can get your own. I would like mine back. It's custom made, but it wouldn't sell for much if that's what you are planning."
That wasn't enough to convince Laima at all, but she sighed and tossed the bracelet back to Breanna. "Fine, then, keep it. What a large number of lies for just one tiny bracelet." she sighed. "It's not worth it," she said.
"One question, though," she said offhandedly. "Who's this jeweler you're telling me about?"
Breanna struggled to formulate a lie. She knew of many jewelers, but if any of these people inquired further, they would find that none of them had created this particular bracelet. Breanna wouldn't have created much of a fuss about it, but she needed it later that night. She was meeting up with a client and she identified her other persona with a custom bracelet with a serial code that she would send to the client beforehand. This assured that no one could steal her client. She studied the girl before saying "His name is Nikolaj Danielson. He usually has a stall at the yearly fair. Try and see if you can find him there."
Dove snorted.
Breanna looked at the group in front of her before sighing. "Looks like its no use lying to you lot, so, how much do you know about me?"
Laima shrugged. "Before here, we'd never seen you before," she said, leaning on her heels.
She smirked, tilting her head.
"We don't even know if you're the Breanna you say you are, even if that business card is real. But in the short minutes you spent talking to us, some cover was blown," she said. "Consider that. So obviously we're not normal people either…" she said, trailing off, her eyes drifting.
"Goodbye, Breanna Allyn Camille," Laima said, nodding.

Yeon threw a quick glance in Laima’s direction, seeming impressed by her ease and composure. He nodded in agreement with her, looking back at the woman.
Dove nodded and stared at Breanna, assessing her strengths.
Breanna knew it would be dangerous to reveal more about herself. They could easily report her and plunge her already struggling family down further towards the depths of bankruptcy. She took a moment to appreciate the way the girl had dismissed her, but knew that leaving would mean losing the power play. She remained silent, watching the people in front of her to see what they would do.
Laima waited. Most of her social experience was from dealing with her customers, which meant she spent most of her waking time from the moment she officially became a fortune teller and traveling apothecary at the age of 11 dealing with people who didn't usually have the best of intentions. At least in the small towns (villages, really) surrounding hers. She hoped it wasn't like that all around the world, but because it was so untrustworthy around her towns, she was prepared.
She had learned with her clients that sometimes with silence, they'd open up and spill the deep secrets you'd need to tell a believable fortune about them. She was the only fake in her town, and she couldn't have the rest of the town gaining a bad rep just because of her screw-ups.
Masalee glanced around interestedly. No one seemed to currently be there, so she unlocked the door and walked inside, hoping for clues about who these people were.
(So guys I' pretty sure this is considered dead but like as a lifeline I'm throwing in some stuff for continuation. I don't really want this to sink into the depths of the unknown, but if you all are done I'd like it if you'd comment below and tell me)
Laima Florence shoved past this Breanna girl and jogged to the car. She did a quick inspection to make sure nothing was tampered with, and when nothing was she quickly motioned for Yeon and Dove to come over. "Let's not waste time," she said smiling. "I know a few things that need planning."

(I mean, I’m down ig to continue this)
Yeon jogged over to the car and leaned against it, gaze on Laima. “What do you have for us, querida?” He asked with a devilish smile.
(I was at a friends house, sorry!)
Dove came over, arms crossed.
"What do you want, Laima?"
(I'd like to continue this, but plot-wise my character fits in the best where she is right now and I can't really do anything until you all meet her.)
(We'll come to Yeon's house, then)
Laima shrugged, pointing her head at Breanna, who was watching. "Talk in the car?" she said mildly. She didn't want Breanna to get suspicious, but what could she do? They needed to steal that book from the palace, but for that, they needed a really good plan. She assumed the book was under guard, and if the security there was even half decent, the locks would be reinforced with magic. She did have a few good ideas, but she also needed the map of the palace. She couldn't mention any of that around this random rich girl.
