“I like most of the movies everyone picks. And it’s less work for me” she crossed her arms over her chest.

“I don’t know I’ll buy you something?”

“A book?”

“I’ve got plenty of those. Or do you just want to see the cute guy at the bookstore like the one at the pizza place?” She said chuckling.

“Nah that guy is gay. Besides I work there so I’d get a discount.”

“I get discounts too. I work at the other location. Thus why I have so many books”

“Well the. What do you want?”

“Hmm. A boyfriend, a better paying job. But you can’t provide me with either, she said laughing.

“Haha. No but seriously?”

“I don’t really know” she said, thinking.

Wes blushed, scratching the back of his neck.

"Do-do you want me to walk you up to the door?" He asked, avoiding eye contact.

"Sure," Abby agreed, a little disappointed when he didn't make eye contact with her. But nothing could ruin her evening. She let Wes lead her up the stairs and to her apartment door. She knocked on the door and kissed Wes one more time. She's meant for it to be quick, but she found herself lingering…

Kendra scampered over to the door and opened it to find Abby and Wes kissing and choked on spit trying to hold back laughter.
“Just friends huh?” She giggled.

Abby pulled back suddenly, her mouth open in a perfect O. She blushed and said a soft "Goodnight" to Wes before entering the apartment, knowing that a barrage of teasing and questions would come next.

“Abby!” Kendra sqealed. “Is he a good kisser?”

Abby pressed her lips together in a straight line. She smiled and nodded, suddenly giddy.

“Abby’s got a boyfriend!” She chirped. She then turned and put her hand in front of her mouth. “Maybe she’ll stop hanging around her” she joked to the others.

"No… He's not-" Abby cut herself off. He's not my boyfriend. "Okay fine, maybe he's my boyfriend…"

“oh Abby I’m so happy for you” she lifted her hand do her face an pretended to wipe a tear. “Our little baby’s growing up”

Abby smirked and gently pushed Kendra's shoulder. "Shuttup…"

Kendra grinned over at Abby. “Well I’m not wrong”

Abby rolled her eyes. "Debatable."

“Whatever” She said in a sing-song voice.

Abby sighed. "Let me go get changed okay?"

“Okay but then your spilling every detail”

Abby moaned and headed to her bedroom. Inside, on the bed. Veda's little sister - Paige, was it? - was curled into a tight ball and day asleep. Abby changed quickly without disturbing her and reentered the living room area.

“Soooooo?” Kendra said from the kitchen table, we here she relocated herself with a cup of lemonade.
