Tom paused. "It could…."

"then that means… we're dead." anger had begun to take hold of her "i can't be dead… i CAN'T be DEAD" her scars began to burn again "no… no no no no NO!!!" a bolt of lightning cracks from her fingers and hits a nearby tree.

Tom shied away from the fire that erupted from the tree, his anxiety disappearing in a frenzy of concern for the girl. "Hey! Hey!" He called at Seraph. "It's ok! If we aren't dead then we might as well be now! You have to control your emotions." She's like Audra with her powers… "Just take a deep breath and we can find what the hell is going on!"

Electricity arcs between her shaking fingers but doesn't strike her shaky breath slowly turning back to her normal breathing. "ok… ok." she looked back at him "sorry… little unstable at the moment."

"It's alright… what matters is if you're okay. Speaking of, are you okay?" He asked.

"yeah… yeah i'm fine… my scars just burn whenever i use it…" her eyes flickered with electricity "ok… i think the lightning strike might have messed with my sight…"

"Okay, i believe we should go back to coffee shop and you can lay down for a bit." He offered.

"i should be fine… but i think it would be nice to go back…" she was still slightly shaking and started to walk back "we can head back out in a few if you want… just… need time to cool down."

"What I want doesn't matter here." He chided calmly, walking in front of her. His awkwardness then kicked in again. "Is it uh ok… if i uh… hold the door for you?" Why? He internally cried. This is such a stupid qeustion.

she nodded "yeah… i uh, don't want to touch anything right now…" what happened to me?

He pulled the doors open for her, cursing at his idiocy under his breath. You idiot. A voice growled. He shook his head. You are not part of me. Go away!

she walked behind the counter again, closed her eyes, tensed up and pulled out one of the sandwiches and relaxed "you want one?" she asked pulling out a second one.

"Those are probably old…" He pointed out, rubbing his wrist gently. "I-I can make something fresh in the kitchen."

she looked at the food and shrugged "you can if you want, your probably right anyway" she tossed the sandwiches in the trash

"It's no trouble…. well, uh if you want me too… uh.." He trailed off.

she shrugged "i'd be thankful if you did." her stomach gave a slight rumble "sorry… just hungry."

"O-okay." He wandered into the kitchen, looking for ingredients. "Any idea of what you want or…? I can make anything…." He popped his head back through the doorway.

"if there's ingredients for a BLT or something close to it, i'd be very thankful." she sat in a booth

"Alright." He searched through the kitchen. "Hey this may sound very stupid but tomatoes?" He asked, pulling them out along with cheese.

"yes please, chef Tom" she slightly giggled to herself.

"Uhm…. ok.." He stuttered. Pulling out some bacon after rooting through the freezer, (Gaia would be drooling rn) he pulled the cold meat apart and placed it on a cookie sheet and plopped it into the oven, setting the correct temperature. He searched for bread and stuck it in a toaster oven. He leaned against the wall, closing his eye and gently humming to himself.

Why is he so cute? she quietly sneaks to the kitchen door and listens to his humming if he finds you he's going to think you're creepy. she slowly learns the tune and hums quietly outside the door.

(This is so cute my gosh… Also for reasons, he's going to be singing something by Starset… probably Carnivore.)

He opened his eye slightly and looked at the timer on the oven. "Just to let you know the food will be done in a bit… sorry for the wait." He called softly and resuming his humming.

she sneaks away and calls back "it's ok, i don't mind."

Tom went silent, trying to figure out an appropriate response. "Yeah, okay…" Was what he settled with. Going back into his mind again, he started humming again, this time to a different song.

Seraph giggled to herself and began to hum Tom's tune.

The timer beeped and Tom moved from his place against the wall. He grabbed the tray of bacon and the warm bread and smacked together the BLT. He carried it out to her but was surprised to not see her in the booth.

"sorry, legs were falling asleep, i needed to walk around. thank you by the way." she gave the one-eyed boy a small hug. you are going to end up ruining this and i am going to kick my own ass

"Uhm…" Tom's face turned red. "Well, i have your food…"
