Rules when talking to the fae of Wonderland:

1. Never give them your name.
2. Never accept food from a faerie.
3. Never say thank you.
4. Never accept a gift without caution.
5. Never offend.

Mistakes King Farelian made:

1. He told the most dangerous of them all, the faerie queen, his name.
2. He ate from her hand.
3. He was raised polite and never forgot to thank her.
4. He was showered with gifts he carelessly set aside.
5. On the twentieth day of the goddess Decembra, he offended her. And Wonderland was raised against his world.

You can be Wonderland characters or fairy tale world characters. I'll make separate posts for lore, forms, and rules later.

Wonderland is the land of the fae, adjourning the fairy tale world. In Wonderland, there are four to eight nobles at one time, and one monarch of the entire kingdom. Lord Casper Clubs rules the province of Clubs; Lady Adella Diamonds rules the province of Diamonds; Lord Marin Spades rules the province of Spades; Queen Maeve Hearts rules the kingdom. Her husband, Prince Elton Hearts, rules the province of Hearts.
To decide the next monarch, the eldest child of the four families typically rules. However, there is… unrest.
All fae have a nickname and a name. The nickname is what they go by; their name is a secret to all but them and the family vestene (somewhat like a priest or medicine man).
In the fairy tale world, there is one landmass and seven kingdoms. The kingdom of Farelian is where our story takes place, though the others (Elloria, Ydrana, Hossi, Brellan, Jermaine, and Sidino) may come into play. King Farelian rules as an unfit leader and many people cannot wait until the day his twin children (unnamed for now, in case someone wants to play them) become monarchs together.
Any questions you need answering can be asked, and I'll likely make up something on the spot.

So based in the whole ‘don’t tell a fairy your name’ thing. basically they have this sacred name given to them at birth, and being told that name is a sign of immense trust because with the right power, you can control someone else just by knowing their secret name. nickname is what we’d consider a name now, like I’m Lucy and have a friend named Zoe.
