Paige went over to the booth and voted before coming back to Veda. "Hey, do you… need help?" she asked, trying to keep her voice from shaking.

Veda shook her head as she stood up. "I'll try to do it on my own." She said, she went in to the booth and came out a few moments later, then walked over to Paige and wrapped her arms around her.

"Do you want to sit?" Paige asked. She wanted to ask the question that everyone wanted confirmed, but she was too afraid.

"Sure." Veda replied.

Paige guided Veda to a couch and sat down beside her. It was all she could do to keep from squirming.

The screen clicked on once again. The words "The results are in" there was a long pause and the screen suddenly changed. It read "It was a tie. Tomorrow you will vote again" The screen flicked to a new screen. "Who dies? Enzo or Veda?"

Lixi stared at the screen in horror. "No Enzo, please don't go." Lixi pleaded as she clutched onto him and sobbed. "I don't want you to go, I need you." She said in ragged breaths. The man was like a father to her, he protected her, he didn't deserve this.

Enzo stared numbly at the screen. A tie. It was almost him. Shakily, he dragged his gaze down to his hands. He realized Lixi was talking to him but her voice sounded distant and distorted. Idon'twannadieIdon'twannadie he couldn't breathe. If he died, his nephew…would sit and wait forever for an uncle who was never coming home. He buried his face in his hands.

Liam stood, shaking in horror.

Veda stood up shakily. "Let me die." She whispered.

Enzo flinched at the softness of her voice. So that was Veda. Blind, young, pretty. Definitely not deserving of death. And yet…could he really let her die?

John stared at the two names on the board. Enzo and Veda. He hadn't gotten to know Veda very much, but Enzo, the guy basically led the little group of us. And poor Lixi trusted him a lot …What if he actually died? How would Lixi handle it? But then again, Veda was so sweet, kind enough to offer herself up. How could he decide who to vote for? John looked at the floor. How was he supposed to react now? Earlier, the possibility of death didn’t have clear consequences, but now? When it was between two people…

(okay so the thought is the person whos gonna die, theyd go through a door thats always locked except when someone has to die. they go in and door locks again. then things happen from there, which will come into play later. but basically they dont die and are hidden in a room until the very end. bum bum bum dead people are revealed as not dead and then we carry on with something cool. idk just a thought)
